The State Board of Accounts is calling a conference of all County Council Members pursuant to<br />

IC 5-11-14-1 to be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Primo Conference Center, Plainfield, Indiana.<br />

Please mark your calendar for this state called meeting.<br />

The meeting will start promptly at 8:45 A.M., Eastern Daylight Time, on Saturday, June 29.<br />

Per Indiana Code 5-11-14-1 each county council member that resides at least 50 miles from the<br />

conference location is entitled to reimbursement for actual lodging expense for the night of June 29, 2012<br />

in an amount equal to the single room rate. Also, a county council member may be reimbursed mileage<br />

at a rate per mile determined by the county fiscal body from the county seat to the meeting place and<br />

return will be certified for payment to the County Council Member furnishing the conveyance. Each<br />

official shall be reimbursed, in an amount determined by the fiscal body of the county, for meals<br />

purchased while attending a conference. Receipts for meals should be maintained in order to receive<br />

reimbursement.<br />

The conference is called for the purposes stated in the above referenced law. Your attendance at<br />

this meeting is respectfully requested. The agenda will include a review of new state laws affecting the<br />

responsibilities of county councils, a review of the increased state support for local road funding and how<br />

the federal health care law will affect counties.<br />
