The State Board of Accounts is calling a conference of all County Council Members pursuant to
IC 5-11-14-1 to be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Primo Conference Center, Plainfield, Indiana.
Please mark your calendar for this state called meeting.
The meeting will start promptly at 8:45 A.M., Eastern Daylight Time, on Saturday, June 29.
Per Indiana Code 5-11-14-1 each county council member that resides at least 50 miles from the
conference location is entitled to reimbursement for actual lodging expense for the night of June 29, 2012
in an amount equal to the single room rate. Also, a county council member may be reimbursed mileage
at a rate per mile determined by the county fiscal body from the county seat to the meeting place and
return will be certified for payment to the County Council Member furnishing the conveyance. Each
official shall be reimbursed, in an amount determined by the fiscal body of the county, for meals
purchased while attending a conference. Receipts for meals should be maintained in order to receive
reimbursement.
The conference is called for the purposes stated in the above referenced law. Your attendance at
this meeting is respectfully requested. The agenda will include a review of new state laws affecting the
responsibilities of county councils, a review of the increased state support for local road funding and how
the federal health care law will affect counties.
