The 2012 Council Rock South Men’s Varsity
lacrosse team showed a lot of improvement
in a lot of areas. As a young team with
several players with little varsity experience
coming into the season, they started
the season with 3 victories over Springfield
Montco, Father Judge and Interboro. After
falling short in their next 3 games, the
varsity responded with one of the greatest
comeback victories in school history
against Council Rock North on April 16th

by erasing a 3 goal deficit in the final 88
seconds and then winning on Alex Hardy’s
goal as time expired in the 2nd overtime.
As the season continued, the team continued
to work hard and play with class,
respect and sportsmanship as they fought
through a difficult mid-season schedule.
Although the final score didn’t always turn
out the way we wanted, the varsity never
lost their faith in each other and continued
to work hard to make the season a success.
Their hard work paid off in the final week
of the season with impressive wins over
Truman and Souderton to finish the sea-
son 7-11. Every player should be proud of
how they played and the progress that we
all made to make Council Rock South into
a first class High School lacrosse program.
The JV team enjoyed a lot of success on
the field, finishing the season 14-3-1. The
team had a lot of first year high school
lacrosse players and came together as
a team early in the season. We look forward
to having our JV players contribute
on the varsity level in the near future.
