Tim Miller: Director<br />
Hello! I’m Tim Miller and I will be the Director in <strong>Ski</strong> <strong>Hi</strong> this summer. I am excited to be<br />
returning to Cheley for my 2nd summer. I am originally from Gambier Ohio but have<br />
spent the last 7 years in Crested Butte Colorado. This will be my 14th summer in<br />
the camping industry and I have a feeling this will be the best one yet!<br />
Austin Cheley: Assistant Director<br />
I was raised at Cheley camps, and went to Cheley as a camper for 9 years. I’m excited to be back.<br />
My favorite camp dinner is fried chicken!!! I’m getting ready to go to law school in the fall, and<br />
study environmental law. Can’t wait for this great summer.<br />
Max Sandhaus: Riding<br />
<strong>Hi</strong>! I’m from London, England. I’m passionate about horse riding and my football team, West<br />
Ham, although I guess you guys call it soccer. I love all sports and the great outdoors. I am<br />
really looking forward to my time at Cheley.<br />
Nick Nissen: Riding<br />
I’m a student at the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!), studying Spanish and Pre-<br />
Medicine. I am an outdoorsman at heart, spending my breaks planning backpacking<br />
and rock climbing trips, and I’m excited spend my first year at Cheley. I love playing the<br />
piano, playing guitar, breathing fresh air, and seeing our beautiful world.<br />
Alex Clay: Relief Riding/General<br />
I’m a sophomore at Emory University in Atlanta, studying Neuroscience and Latin. I’m<br />
involved with a musician support group on campus, am a 4th degree black belt in Tae<br />
Kwon Do and love all martial arts. After living in the swampy lowlands of New Orleans,<br />
I’m very excited to be in the mountains this summer. I wear tri-cornered hat every day<br />
because I’ve found it takes people off guard and makes them smile.<br />
Henry Warrington: <strong>Hi</strong>king<br />
A born and bred Ohioan, I attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I study<br />
chemistry. When I’m not stuck in lab, I like to bike, rock climb, and pretend that<br />
Michigan has a spring season. I am excited to be back for my second year on staff!<br />
Christian Hamiter: <strong>Hi</strong>king<br />
I’m from Marietta, GA and am studying Communication at Kennesaw State. My<br />
hobbies include hiking (of course), rock climbing, music and having adventures. I look<br />
forward to another summer summiting peaks and having a blast at camp!
Matt Grady: Backpacking<br />
I’m from Athens, Georgia and am a senior at Georgia College in Milledgeville, studying<br />
Outdoor Education. I love being outdoors and this will be my first summer at Cheley!<br />
Enrique Mejia: Backpacking<br />
I’m from Kansas City, Missouri (not to be confused with the Kansas side), and I go to<br />
the University of Missouri-Columbia where I study English and Spanish. I get out to<br />
Colorado at every opportunity and I am psyched to work at Cheley. I can cook anything<br />
with bacon, including brownies, cinnamon rolls, and bacon wrapped bacon.<br />
Jake <strong>Hi</strong>nes: Outcamping/General<br />
From the great city of Cleveland, Ohio, I’m returning for my second summer. A rising<br />
junior at Emerson College in Boston, I spend much of my time working on sound for<br />
films and on theater productions, running cross-country, and playing quidditch. I love<br />
the outdoors and can’t wait for summer!<br />
Jon Calcara: Outcamping/General<br />
I grew up and lived in Iowa my whole life. I’m studying Environmental Studies at<br />
Kirkwood Community College. Most of my free time is invested in music; playing piano,<br />
banjo, or DJing. I love hiking, fishing, and being outside. I’m so excited for this summer!<br />
Jay Dumanian: Rifle/General<br />
I’m from south of San Francisco, and am a junior at Dartmouth College in TheMiddleOf-<br />
Nowhere, New Hampshire. I’m studying psychology and spend every moment I can in<br />
the White Mountains backpacking, hiking, and rock climbing. After five years as a camper,<br />
I’m excited about Cheley and the mountains. Also, cornbread- quite excited for that!<br />
Carlos Bahamon Contreras: Crafts/General<br />
Hey! I am from Bogota Colombia and I am so excited to arrive at camp and have a great<br />
experience with the kids. I am passionate about watching and playing soccer. I also like<br />
boxing, MMA, and tennis. Besides sports, I enjoying reading, especially Agatha Christie,<br />
Edgar Allen Pow, and George R.R. Martin.<br />
Tom Henderson: Sports<br />
I’m from Leeds in the north of England. I’ve been doing a spot of traveling around Europe<br />
and exploring some fantastic cities! I have a degree in Sports and Exercise Science form<br />
the University of Teesside. I passionately love all sports and am so excited to get back to<br />
Cheley and spend another wonderful summer as the Sports Counselor in <strong>Ski</strong> <strong>Hi</strong>!<br />
Will Whipple: Campfire/General<br />
This is my 8th year at Cheley and my 3rd on staff. I’m a senior at Rhodes College in<br />
Memphis, TN and love being able to get out to beautiful Colorado! My favorite<br />
campfire dessert is peach cobbler.
