We manage five safehouses within the city of Bristol, provide resettlement support, a dedicated service for women from black and other ethnic minorities and children’s support services. Domestic abuse affects families from all different backgrounds and experiences. One in four women will experiences abuse at some point in their life and one in eight women will have experienced it in the last year. Domestic abuse includes physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse. It is usually perpetrated by men against women but not exclusively.
