From The Rabbi’s Study...
It’s that time of year! The summer has finally arrived, and
with it the ever-popular “Summer Reading” lists. Whether
using your Kindle, Nook, or a good old-fashioned paper
book, the summer is a great time to catch up on reading.
This year, as you hang out in your backyard or relax at the
beach, I encourage you to add at least one Jewish book to
your personal summer reading list. Whether you wish to
stop by our synagogue library, go to a local bookstore, or
order online, finding a great Jewish book to read has never
been easier. There are even entire websites dedicated to
Jewish books and Jewish reading such as The Jewish Book
Council (www.jewishbookcouncil.org), or Jewish Lights
Publishing (www.jewishlights.com)
Here are a few suggestions of books that I have either
read recently, or that I continually go back to for both information
and inspiration. If you are interested in another
topic not included here, feel free to contact me for
suggestions. Enjoy and Happy Reading!!
