Engineers working for EDC work on design, improvement, manufacturing and
test support, as well as servicing of the parts and components of such products

Zakład GMMP zatrudnia ponad 3000 osób, a jego moce produkcyjne wynoszą
ponad 200 tysięcy samochodów rocznie. Ponad 90 procent produkcji przeznaczone
jest na eksport. Zakład jest jednym z najlepszych w całym koncernie GM,
wzorcowym w zakresie stosowania systemu produkcyjnego GMS oraz rozwiązań
w obszarze Bezpieczeństwa Pracy. Obecnie, w Gliwicach produkowane
są modele Astra III Sedan i Astra IV. Europejska organizacja ds. oceny bezpieczeństwa
Euro NCAP nagrodziła nowego Opla Astrę pięcioma gwiazdkami za
bezpieczeństwo, a więc najwyższą oceną według nowych, surowych kryteriów,
które wprowadzono w 2009 roku.
The GMMP plant employs over 3000 people. Its annual production capacity
amounts to over 200 000 units. Over 90% of the plant’s volume is exported. The
plant is one of the best in General Motors, a benchmark for other GM plants
in terms of GMS production system and Health and Safety. Currently there are
two models being produced on site: Astra III Sedan and Astra IV. The European
new car safety assessment organization, Euro NCAP, has awarded the new Opel
Astra five stars for safety – the top rating for new tough regulations that took
effect this year.
