Management Looking For Today?
Tuesday, October 6
2:10 pm – 2:50 pm
Outsourcing is extensively used in medical technology with widespread applications within R&D,
Manufacturing, Regulatory and Clinical. Is outsourced commercialization next? Perfecting a sales process,
brand positioning and value proposition development are major challenges for early companies with limited
resources. Even global market leaders may ask themselves why not test the theories and processes before
making a full-scale investment.
This panel will discuss the pros, cons and trends of outsourcing sales and commercialization activities,
including direct hiring, training and implementation of in-house sales forces, temporary and long-term
uses of specialized sales personnel, broad-based 1099 sales representatives and small targeted outsource
models. Furthermore, this panel will explore outsourcing for real-time, in-field testing, proof of concept,
benchmarking and product and value positioning.
