CHG-MERIDIAN has its own modern facilities for refurbishing, remarketing and disposal of IT equipment. To
provide you with peace of mind CHG-MERIDIAN takes sole responsibility for the end-of-life process from the
point of collection of your IT equipment to its remarketing or disposal.
Complying with legal requirements
The legislation and guidelines for the recycling and disposal of IT equipment are being continually reviewed and
revised. CHG-MERIDIAN ensures that all its procedures and processes not only comply with all applicable legislation,
but wherever possible meet best practice. You will receive a hassle-free service that is reliable and environmentally
responsible.

Any equipment that cannot be recycled will be collected by an approved contractor selected by us from our
Approved Supplier list.
Following collection of your IT equipment, CHG-MERIDIAN receives and signs a Hazardous Waste
consignment note which is countersigned to confirm the safe arrival of your IT equipment at the
disposal location.
CHG-MERIDIAN also receives a certificate of destruction and recycling which confirms the weight of disposed
equipment. This weight is then checked by CHG-MERIDIAN enabling CHG-MERIDIAN to confirm that every item of
IT equipment has been subject to the accredited destruction and recycling process.
CHG-MERIDIAN also ensures that packaging and peripherals are reused whenever possible and where reuse is not an
option, that any items that can be recycled, which includes cardboard and pallets, are recycled.
