Monday After School Activities 3:00pm – 4:00pm ELC Fun Club – P3 – P5 Room – ELC Teachers: Foster, Luda, Soraya Description: Come and have fun with your friends in the ELC. You can create art pieces, construct with various materials, play sports and dance. We are going to have indoor and outdoor games and activities. Maximum Number of Students – 30 Chess Club – P5 – P7 Room – 205 Teachers: Nick P. Description: Students will participate in chess games with other students. In the final weeks of Chess Club we hold a chess competition and play-off. Throughout this activity we discuss chess strategy, official rules and explore various ways of approaching the game. Maximum Number of Students – 18 Upper Primary Newspaper – P6 – P8 Room – Research room Teachers: Irada G., Matthew Description: Children will be able to create newspaper and place it when it’s ready on school website. Maximum Number of Students – 17 Puzzles & Problems – P6 – P8 Room – 107A Teachers: Dave, Sandy Description: Solving and making puzzles and problems – including Soduko, wordsearch, mazes, crosswords, logic problems and more. Tuesday After-School Activities 3:00pm – 4:00pm Story Book – P3 – P5 Room – ELS Teachers: Gula G. Description: The students will choose a topic to describe and illustrate their fantastic ideas. Each student will select one aspect, e.g. character, setting, etc. to contribute to a book created by the whole group. As the main focus is to have fun as much as possible, the idea is to share enthusiasm and great thoughts while discussing, drawing, and writing. Maximum Number of Students –12 Outdoor games – P6 – P8 Room – Field Teachers: Fiona, Sean Description: We are going to run a different game each week. It will include games like rounders, tag and bat-down to enjoy playing in a group outside while the weather is good. Maximum Number of Students – 20 5
