Autumn 2015 Edition
Although the seasons are changing
and soon the leaves will be turning
to their autumnal glory, there are still
many exciting things happening in
the local area. Many of our local
gardens are at their best at this
time of year particularly Chartwell.
This autumn the National Trust
property will have a fun Pumpkin
Trail taking place during the half
term holidays. Why not enjoy the gardens, house and you could take
the Halloween trail. Do not forget to collect your prize at the end!
Plans are already afoot for the Caterham and District Round Table
annual bonfire and firework display at Dene Field. The confirmed
date is Saturday 7th November, and as with recent years, the evening
will kick off with a torchlight procession leaving from Westway Library
at 6.30 pm, so get there early to buy your torch. The fire will be lit at
7.15pm. All Proceeds will go to local charities.
The Barn Theatre sees the Oxted Operatic Society performing 42nd
Street from 17th - 21st November. This is sure to be popular, so book
early to secure a ticket to this fantastic musical.
As the nights draw in it might be a good time to think about
broadening your horizons. There are plenty of clubs and groups
or evening classes and other activates to join and learn new skills.
Anyone wanting to see what’s on offer can get further information
from the town library.
