In the Junior School and Lower
School, boarders are housed
close to the main school campus
with resident house parents,
supported by an assistant, a team
of house tutors and a matron.
In the Senior School, life centres
on the mediaeval and eighteenth
century buildings that line
The Liberty. Each house is the
focal point for group identity,
friendship and relaxation, with
healthy rivalries between houses
in sport, drama, public speaking
and other academic achievement.
Flexi-boarding is also available,
from one night through to
weekly or even weekend
boarding. Many pupils and
parents find this to be an
extremely useful option, as it
allows pupils the opportunity
to participate in after-school
clubs as well as to keep up with
homework while avoiding a late
journey home.
