at the Jazz Bistro<br />

in Toronto where<br />

she was joined by<br />

jazz luminaries<br />

Mark Kieswetter,<br />

Ross Macintyre, Eric St‐Laurent, and<br />

Max Roach. The album is a mix of<br />

“well‐chosen classics and freshly-written<br />

originals” that highlight Eliza’s vocal<br />

versatility. It “showcases a rich potential,”<br />

observed Kerry Doole, writing on<br />

newcanadianmusic.ca.<br />

In June 2015, Lauren Chan ’13, a medical<br />

student at Queen’s University, was selected<br />

as the winner in the Undergraduate<br />

Student category of the Science and<br />

Human Rights Coalition student essay<br />

competition run by the American<br />

Association for the Advancement of<br />

Science (AAAS). As part of the award, she<br />

attended the AAAS Science and Human<br />

Rights Coalition Meeting in Washington,<br />

DC and will be starting a student<br />

advocacy group with them this year.<br />
