<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong>’s effort to ramp up services and achieve synergy with its strategic partners will be fostered by its recently established<br />
state-of-the-art technology platform, built <strong>in</strong> a fully ‘<strong>Payment</strong> Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)’ compliant<br />
Data Centre <strong>in</strong> the <strong>UAE</strong>.
<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> operates on the Select ® System technical platform licensed from S2M, a platform that is used by more than 150<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>in</strong>stitutions <strong>in</strong> the EMEA region. It is not only serv<strong>in</strong>g the transaction process<strong>in</strong>g needs of the <strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> companies that<br />
are part of the <strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> group (<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> Middle East, <strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> Electronic <strong>Payment</strong> Services) but also serve as a TPSP for other clients<br />
<strong>in</strong> different <strong>in</strong>dustries (Banks, Telecom, Utility companies, etc.).<br />
Consider<strong>in</strong>g only <strong>UAE</strong> market, where there<br />
are 50 Banks and 5 f<strong>in</strong>ance companies and<br />
only 20% of the banks are hav<strong>in</strong>g their own<br />
process<strong>in</strong>g platform, the rest 80% percent<br />
are dependent on 3 transaction processors.<br />
Be<strong>in</strong>g the 4 th transaction processor gives us<br />
the w<strong>in</strong>dow of opportunity to target these<br />
banks and f<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>in</strong>stitutions for various<br />
payment solutions. Chances of w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g<br />
bus<strong>in</strong>ess from some of these banks are very<br />

solution and will also be able to<br />

networks such as Xpress Money.
<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong>’s association with its partner banks has exhibited positive results. <strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> boasts a customer base of over<br />
400,000 card holders and processes a volume of around AED 400 million monthly.<br />
The progress is to be susta<strong>in</strong>ed by a prudent design of its customer reach and engagement channels, which <strong>in</strong>clude a mix<br />
of onl<strong>in</strong>e payment portal, mobile payments, po<strong>in</strong>t of sale units cover<strong>in</strong>g 30,000 locations, and 2,000 cashless self-service<br />
kiosks. These distribution channels will accommodate the grow<strong>in</strong>g payment needs of the consumers and the market trend<br />

<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> has also forged its partnership with Noor Bank who is well known for its creative, <strong>in</strong>novative and<br />
responsible products and services, most of which are tailored to suit enterprise solutions. The partnership <strong>in</strong>volves with<br />
Noor to be the sponsor bank for certification of <strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> as TPSP and issuer for of various member schemes for different<br />
prepaid programs followed by merchant acquir<strong>in</strong>g at later phase The parties are aim<strong>in</strong>g to build last<strong>in</strong>g relationship with<br />
Noor Bank and cont<strong>in</strong>ue to w<strong>in</strong> us new customers - <strong>in</strong>dividuals, <strong>in</strong>stitutions, companies and governments - across all<br />
operations.<br />
MINT has become the TPSP (Third Party Service <strong>Provider</strong>) to process and distribute cards under the BIN sponsorship<br />
agreement with UnionPay Member banks. MINT shall become the:<br />
- the first UnionPay EMV Chip Card <strong>in</strong> the region<br />
- the first UnionPay Salary Prepaid Card <strong>in</strong> <strong>UAE</strong> (under <strong>UAE</strong>’s WPS Program)<br />
- the first UnionPay Certified TPSP (<strong>in</strong> XX Region)<br />
MINT has also become the TPSP (Third Party Service <strong>Provider</strong>) to process and distribute cards under the BIN<br />
sponsorship agreement with MasterCard Member banks. MINT shall become the the first TPSP to set up the MIP <strong>in</strong> <strong>UAE</strong>.<br />
Be<strong>in</strong>g a 3 rd party processor will also give us the opportunity to own a pr<strong>in</strong>cipal member scheme with the member<br />
associations that will allow us to offer our issu<strong>in</strong>g and acquir<strong>in</strong>g services to the banks and f<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>in</strong>stitutions.<br />
<strong>M<strong>in</strong>t</strong> has plans to launch its own domestic card scheme with its <strong>in</strong>-built value added services such as remittances, bill<br />
payments, Mobile Top-up etc. to support the <strong>UAE</strong> government <strong>in</strong>itiative of a cashless environment.<br />
