Im ehemaligen Wasserturm von Toulouse
ist ein wahres Juwel für Fotoliebhaber
unter gebracht: Die 1974 vom Fotografen Jean
Dieu zaide gegründete städtische Galerie
ist die meistbesuchte und älteste Fotogalerie
Europas. Berühmte nationale und internationale
Fotografen – wie etwa Henri Cartier-
Bresson, Lee Friedlander, Edward Weston,
Walker Evans oder Robert Doisneau – haben
hier bereits ausgestellt. Aktuell zu sehen:
«Le para doxe de la nuit noire» von Yohann
Gozard.
Toulouse’s former water tower has been
transformed into a jewel for lovers of photography.
The Château d’Eau, which was founded
by photographer Jean Dieuzaide in 1974, is
the oldest and most-visited photo gallery in
Eur ope. Countless French and international
photography legends, including Henri Cartier-
Bresson, Lee Friedlander, Ed ward Weston,
Walker Evans and Robert Doisneau, have
exhibited here. The current show is “Le paradoxe
de la nuit noire”, by Yohann Gozard.

Schon als Kind war Lukas Viglietti
von der Geschichte der Raumfahrt
fasziniert. 2009 gründete der
SWISS Airbus-Pilot zusammen mit
seiner Frau Bettina den Verein
SWISSAPOLLO mit dem Ziel, Veranstaltungen
und Ausstellungen
zu organisieren und Astronauten
einzuladen, um in Europa Vorträge
zu halten. Eine spektakuläre
Showkonferenz in Lausanne lässt
nun am 13. November die Höhepunkte
des Wettlaufs zum Mond
(Moon Race) wieder aufleben. Im
Beisein der drei Weltraumpioniere
Buzz Aldrin, Alexei Leonow und
des Schweizers Claude Nicollier
haben Besucher die Gelegenheit,
die historischen Ereignissen von
damals hautnah «mitzuerleben».

has been fascinated by the story of
space exploration ever since he was
a boy. And in 2009 he and his wife
Bettina founded SWISSAPOLLO, an
association to organise space exhibitions
and events and invite astronauts
to Europe to speak about their
experiences. There’s quite a show
lined up here for 13 November in
Lausanne. In “The Moon Race”,
space pioneers Buzz Aldrin, Alexey
Leonov and Switzerland’s own
Claude Nicollier will all be on hand
to share their memories and
impressions of those truly historic
times.
