Cari amici e collezionisti,<br />
negli ultimi anni mi è capitato spesso di vedere pubblicazioni orologiere su Rolex, Patek Philippe, Longines e via dicendo e,<br />
in molte occasioni, clienti e amici avrebbero voluto possedere uno o più d'uno di quegli oggetti del desiderio che potevano<br />
essere ammirati sulle pagine dei libri, ma – nella maggior parte dei casi – la risposta del proprietario era un rifiuto categorico<br />
a separarsi dall'orologio tanto amato e, per di più, ora anche pubblicato!<br />
Proprio da qui nasce l'idea di “100 fabulous watches for sale”, un catalogo di oggetti superselezionati, tutti molto rari nel<br />
loro genere e di altissimo livello qualitativo che però, a differenza dei bellissimi volumi di Goldberger, Pucci Papaleo o<br />
Mondani, solo per citarne alcuni, possono essere acquistati tramite il sottoscritto che li ha già a disposizione al momento<br />
della stampa della pubblicazione.<br />
Con questa idea mi propongo anche di lasciare una piccola - ma efficace - traccia nel mercato, poichè la maggior parte dei<br />
bellissimi oggetti in vendita nei vari siti internet worldwide, viene eliminata dal web una volta conclusa la transazione.<br />
Mi fa piacere pensare che questo catalogo, il primo di una serie che uscirá in due edizioni annuali, Fall e Spring per l'appunto,<br />
rimarrà – invece- nelle librerie di tanti collezionisti e appassionati a fare bella mostra di sè, e – perchè no? - a testimoniare<br />
quanti oggetti eccezionali mi sono passati per le mani nel tempo o, come dice un grande amico, ho “strofinato”.<br />
Mi scuserete la sinteticità delle descrizioni degli oggetti ,che comunque parlano da soli, e che hanno unicamente lo scopo di<br />
stimolare il lettore a chiedere via mail una scheda tecnica completa che verrà immediatamente resa disponibile così come un<br />
pedigree sulla provenienza, (mercato, collezionisti di riferimento, aste) ed infine, purtroppo, il prezzo...<br />

Dear friends and collectors,<br />
in these recent years I have often see horological publications on Rolex, Patek Philippe, Longines and so on and, on many<br />
occasions, customers and friends would have loved to have one or more than one of those objects of desire that could be seen<br />
on the pages of the books, but - in most cases - the owner’s response was a categorical refusal to get separated from his beloved<br />
watch, which is now published, furthermore!<br />
The idea of “100 fabulous watches for sale” was born right out of this, a catalogue of super-selected objects, all very rare in<br />
their kind and of the highest quality but, unlike the beautiful Goldberger, Pucci Papaleo or Mondani volumes - just to name<br />
a few ones - can be purchased through the undersigned who already has got them available at press time.<br />
With this idea I also intend to leave a small but effective trace in the market, since most of the beautiful items for sale on<br />
the various internet worldwide sites, are deleted from the web once the transaction has been done.<br />
I like to think that this catalogue, the first one of a series that will be released twice a year - Fall and Spring precisely - will<br />
instead remain in many collectors’ and fans’ bookcases to make a fine show, and - why not? - to witness the many exceptional<br />
objects that passed through my hands over time or which I “rubbed” , as a great friend says.<br />
You will forgive the shortness of my descriptions of the objects, which speak for themselves anyway, and which have the only<br />
purpose to stimulate the reader to ask via e-mail for a full technical data sheet that will be immediately made available as<br />
well as a pedigree about the origin (market, reference collectors, auctions) and finally, unfortunately, their prices...<br />
