Earthquake
Experience

Have you ever suffered from anything
unexpected? Well, about two years ago,
when I was in Nepal, I had suffered from
something unexpected. I had experienced
the unforeseen disaster, an earthquake, the
life shaking disaster which was horrible and
threatening. It was the first time in my whole
life experiencing an earthquake.

To begin with, It was nice evening time,
the sun was ready to sleep and the night
was about to come. The time was about 7:30
pm, and some guest had visited to us, and
my family were having nice time with each
other and we children were there watching
tv. However, suddenly our house began to
shake and everybody got confused for a
second, our face was looking pale and white.
We didn’t know what was happening but
there was a fear in our heart and we were
trembling. Then, instantly we heard people
screaming and yelling from outside. They
were screaming like a baby saying
“earthquake” “earthquake” “get out of
house” . By hearing this, I realized that it
was an earthquake that was shaking us. I
had experienced the thundering and
threatening earthquake.

After that, we dashed outside to save our
lives. When we arrived there, the earthquake
had gone but my legs were still shaking. I was
so scared when I was outside because I
couldn’t react and feel anything when I was
inside. Then my neighbor said,”are you all
ok?” because we came outside when the
earthquake was gone. We replied,”yes” with
shaking our bodies. We stayed outside for 30
minutes talking to each other. We thought it
had gone so everybody went to their houses.
The time I got in house I saw some cups were
broken on the ground. I felt content that
nothing else was destroyed. I thanked god to
save us.

However, it wasn’t over yet. I watched on tv
that earthquake will come at midnight time. I got
so scared again. I asked my mom, “are we
going to die tonight?” She hugged me and said,”
no, my son, god will save us.” With that words, I
felt a little fearless but I know that earthquake
will come at midnight which make me afraid.
With the heart of fear, I went to sleep and
prayed god to save us from earthquake.

The night passed, I woke up and saw
everything were fine. I went to mom’s room and
said her, “we’re save”. She smiled, “ yes, we are
safe now.” I was so glad that I thanked god
once again. That evening and night was horrible
event of my life. Whenever I remembered it, I
gets goosebump. Therefore, earthquake is the
unexpected things that has happened to me
which was the horrible and threatening and I am
never gonna forget it.
