Describe Base Pro Artists in three words:
Professional. Stylish. Creative.
What inspired the creation of the brand? BASE Pro
Artists was born from professional makeup artists who
demanded more from their brushes and accessories.
They wanted products which achieved ultimate
application, looked stylish and provided a smoother,
softer product delivery, making it comfortable for their
clients.
What’s your beauty background? I come from a
makeup artist background and have worked with big
publications/brands and the shows, LFW, PFW and
NYFW.
What do you love the most about being an
independent beauty brand? Being independent we
have a great sense of freedom, meaning we can create
products that innovate the industry and by working
directly with makeup artists we incorporate their
feedback into our designs.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what one
beauty item do you take? Moisturizer. Your skin
is incredibly important and I never go a day without
using it. (And I could use any spare coconuts on the
island to nourish my hair)
What’s your biggest beauty pet peeve? Dirty
makeup brushes and sharing makeup brushes. It’s
unhygienic and cleaning them is so easy, just a tiny
bit of a mild shampoo and wash. Over the years I have
seen a lot of infections caused by carelessness. Its not
pleasant and especially makeup artists should know
better, hygiene is incredibly important.
Beauty to me is... That feeling of confidence,
