clearly confirmed the truth that<br />
we need not fear or be anxious:<br />
“Therefore do not be anxious,<br />
saying, ‘What shall we eat?’<br />
or ‘What shall we drink?’ or<br />
‘What shall we wear?’ For the<br />
Gentiles seek after all these<br />
things, and your heavenly<br />
Father knows that you need<br />
them all. But seek first the<br />
kingdom of God and his<br />
righteousness”<br />
Take comfort in the words of<br />
your savior when he tells you<br />
clearly that the LORD - your<br />
heavenly Father - knows what<br />
you need. Jesus also gives us<br />
the perfect alternative to fear<br />
and anxiety. He tells us that<br />
instead of worry and fear we<br />
should focus our attention on<br />
‘seeking the kingdom of God’.<br />
So as you look to the kingdom<br />
of God; reminding yourself<br />
of the truth of scripture;<br />
surrounding yourself with<br />
Christian brothers and sisters<br />
to stand in faith with you as<br />
you face your problems; as you<br />
pray and listen for his guiding<br />
voice; your fears and anxieties<br />
will drift away like the fading<br />
memory of a bad dream, and<br />
you will come to know the<br />
real truth that is encapsulated<br />
in every moment of every day<br />
- that it is not the wisdom of<br />
your boss that keeps your job<br />
safe, nor is it the skill of the<br />
engineer that keeps your plane<br />
flying, but it is the safe and<br />
secure hand of the Lord that<br />
cradles you and keeps you safe,<br />
and if your God is for you, who<br />
could possibly stand against<br />
you?<br />
