BANGALORE ON IYAVARASEVACOOTA (BOSCO)
Bangalore oniyavara seva coota (BOSCO), Karnataka established in 1986 works
for children living on the street, child labourers, abandoned/orphaned children,
victims of drug abuse, victims of child abuse, begging children, rag pickers and
also for children in conflict with law etc. The organization with the support of child
welfare committees rescues, rehabilitates and integrates these children with
theirfamilies. The organization has supported 115123 children in need ofcare and
protection and in conflict with law till May 2015. The organization offers transit
and open shelter facilities and about 400 children make use of facilities in BOSCO
centres.
In recognition ofthe services rendered by Bangalore Oniyavara Seva Coota for
the welfare of children, it is being honoured with the National Award for Child
