Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency
Support Group
Each month, the Goldsboro Housing
Authority’s Resident Opportunity and Self-
Sufficiency (ROSS) program hosts a ROSS
participant Support Group session. During the
session, each participant is encouraged to reflect
and share their personal accomplishments
and/or set backs with the group. The ROSS
coordinators are there to provide the group with
encouragement to continue toward their life
“peaks” and the resources and support to help
them elevate over their “pits”.
Day in and day out we are bombarded by
distractions that may cause us to lose sight of
the vision that we have mapped out for our
lives. This past month, the ROSS participants
got together to work on a project to help
identify and clarify their vision as well as
reinforce their daily affirmations. This was
accomplished by starting their vision boards.
What is a vision board? A vision board is a tool
used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain
focus on a specific life goal. Your vision board
is a constant reminder of where you intend to
be; it works wonders toward keeping your mind
focused on your goals.
Your vision board might be the most important
thing you do for yourself this year! Create your
own vision board today!
Create your own Vision Board
