Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Raisins
17
Holiday dinners always have a vegetable, it’s a rule. What they
usually don’t have is a vegetable that is worth the valuable real
estate on your plate amid other delicious dishes. It’s time to
change that.
Roasted brussels sprouts take a notoriously unappetizing vegetable
by children (and adults) and completely changes their
option. They get crunchy, savory, even slightly sweet – kind of
like popcorn. Folding in some golden raisins or cranberries
ensures the perfect mix of salty and sweet, and the pistachios
round it out. Give your guests and family a reason to add a little
more green to their plate this holiday season.
You work hard, so why not give me a call and save
yourself the time and stress. Let a professional
take care of building your next dream vacation
where all you have to do is create the memories
Ingredients
16 ounces brussels sprouts
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons golden raisins (can substitute dried cranberries
or cherries)
1 1/2 tablespoons pistachios
Instructions
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
Wash the brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Remove and
discard any outer leaves that look wilted.
Toss the brussels sprouts on a large rimmed baking sheet with
the olive oil, salt and pepper. Transfer to your pre-heated oven
and roast for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and add the
balsamic vinegar, raisins and pistachios. Stir gently. Return the
baking sheet to your oven and roast for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Remove and serve.
