Restorative Dentistry 3 — Advanced Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics
INSTRUCTOR: GORDON J. CHRISTENSEN, DDS, MSD, PHD
Every practice has patients with complex treatment needs, and both the treatment planning and the treatment are difficult, time-consuming, and expensive
for patients. This course simplifies those challenges. Gordon shares how to effectively treat complex cases, either with segmented treatment plans or in a concentrated,
efficient series of appointments. Observe many simplified treatment techniques developed by Gordon during his years in private prosthodontic practice. See logical and
efficient treatment of difficult clinical situations that will allow you to offer enhanced treatment proficiency for your own patients. Some of the topics included are:
• The easiest and best diagnosis and treatment for primary and secondary occlusal trauma; clenching and grinding bruxism; temporomandibular dysfunction,
and biocorrosive abfractions
• How to segment restorative and prosthodontic treatment to make it affordable
• Accomplishing fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontic procedures using the best materials, devices, and techniques
• The best materials and techniques for each step
• Optimum use of staff for complex cases
• Long-term maintenance and repair for complex patients
Every participant brings radiographs and casts of a “complex” patient they are planning to treat. These cases are observed by all participants in the course and, using
the principles learned in the course, treatment plans are discussed and critiqued. The concepts taught in this course will help you to effectively treat multi-step
rehabilitation cases easier, with the best long-term treatment results.
