FAVORITE
MEMORY
OF CHRIS:
?
The stories you are about to read
are real. Though there also were
paid actors... »

“My favorite Chris memory is him
dancing shirtless along with the weird
guy who danced really intensely on
the street corner in front of Butcher &
The Boar that one time. I also believed
Maureen on my first day when she
told me he was homeless for about 5
minutes and then I realized that he did,
in fact, have a home and that was just
Maureen’s sense of humor.”
REBECCA UNDERWOOD

“In the early stages of Solve, sitting
with him on a Friday night updating
InDesign files on Medifast banners.”
ANDREW PAUTZ

“Chris, Corey and I closing down old-
Solve together on a snowy afternoon
then spontaneously deciding to sit at
Runyon’s for whiskey and beer.
We jaw’ed for hours.”
SHAWN HANSEN

“When Chris found my favorite
Donovan album on vinyl. Also when
we went to that nice lady show.”
DON CHAMBERLAIN

“Scrotum.”
ROBERT WUCHER

“Dressing up as Bentley boys for the
Channel z Halloween party.”
CONOR LINNIHAN

“I can sum up my memory with two
words and a link: “The Dance” -
https://instagram.com/p/3hiMVLIPjw/”
NEIL JAMES

“My fondest memory of Chris is when
I first started working at Solve, only
Maureen, Chris, & I were at the office
one day. We closed up shop early and
heading over to Carmichael Lynch for
a roof top concert they were having.
I got to hang out with Chris and he
introduced me to some industry peeps.
It was great having him in my corner,
at an event where I was so out of place.
You will be missed Chilly. Wishing you
all the best as you continue to climb
that ladder.”
ANDRE SHOALS

“I’ll let everyone else tell the funny
Chilly stories (certainly no shortage of
humorous, embarrassing moments).
Gotta say my favorite was how Chris
performed during the Founders pitch.
He stepped up, grabbed the reins and
showed what a collaborative and
prolific creative force he can be. Chris
has come a long way since he first rode
the elevator up to the old dank, dark
Solve space three years ago. It’s been
a pleasure being his teammate and
watching him in action. Kick some ass
in your next chapter, Chilly. Looking
forward to catching up with you at our
next rock show.
JOHN COLASANTI

“My favorite Chris memory is from
when we built the Bentley pitch. Chill,
Matthew and I were the only creatives
in the office that week and on the last
night before the final ICR with the guys
we were at the office till well after
midnight. And even though we had a
ton of work to do still, we broke out the
bourbon, cranked up the tunes, danced
around and worked our butts off. It was
a good reminder that working hard,
doesn’t always have to be hard :)”
CHELSEA KLEVESAHL

“My favorite memory of Chris is one
we talked of often, regaling Solve
newcomers with our tale. It’s not a
single memory, but a series of events
that took place over the course of 30 or
so hours.
It all began with Pautz proudly telling
us about the $60 hotel room “really
close to the airport.” I think you know
the rest.
I’ll never think of Chris without
remembering this trip we took mere
days into our time at Solve together.
It’s what cemented our friendship, and
despite fearing for my life that night in
the Manchester Econolodge, I wouldn’t
change a thing about it.”
MAUREEN CLARK

“Chris dropped his pants immediately
upon meeting me.”
KURT STAFKI

“Many moments that I will never forget.
My favorite was coming back from LA
and him and I hugging each other in
the Elevator this Monday.
He had just told me that he would
leave Solve and I was very sad, but
more than anything, I was just happy
for him.”
HANS HANSEN

“My favorite Chilly memory is the
resourcefulness he demonstrated in
creating the OV Trick or Treat video.
It is among my favorite things he/this
agency has done. Scrappy, inventive,
rewarding to watch.
While others may demand more
time, or wax on about how busy they
are, Chilly jumps through a hoop and
delivers. It’s one of the many things I
will miss about him.”
ROMAN PALUTA

“It’s a belief of mine that laughter is
pretty much needed. I appreciate that
Chris brings that along with some
other things. Seeing his boxer shorts
whenever he bends over, always a treat.
Smelling his scent when he enters the
office really sets the tone for the day. A
rare find within a company. And from
my 4 minutes he seems like he’s a good
human not just a funny dude.”
NICK SMASAL

“Obviously it was the bowling
concepting/dance session, where
among other fabulous ideas, Chris
came up with a public urinationthemed
video that was presented to,
and loved by, the client.”
JANELLE ERICKSON

“When Chris befriended Chris Dane
Owens on Facebook - and not only
got accepted, but they exchanged
messages and eventually CDO sent him
autographs in the mail.”
ERIC SORENSEN

“My memory is of him throwing up
in an alley because of weekend EFMN
work the first year. Then he finally
wrote a line that Eric would approve
that got immediately client-killed.”
MATTHEW ULSTAD

“Any time he would rest his arms on the
wall of my cubicle. I knew something
worthwhile was about to be said.”
DAN WENZ

“My favorite memory of Chris is from
my first week, or maybe it was my first
day. He and Matthew sat me down at
the table and grilled me with the most
random questions to get to know me,
like who was my favorite President of
all time. He was so fun and welcoming,
I’m going to miss having him in my
cube corner when I return. ”
STEPHANIE VAVRICHEK

“Unfortunately, I am unable to share
my favorite memory of Chris as it
transpired during a lunch and learn
event, all of which are shrouded in
mystery and intrigue.”
COREY JOHNSON

“And the fabulously awkward conversation
we had recently about the color Orange.
Orange really covers it all.”
TAMMY AUEL

“Hanging at the coffee maker.”
ERIC HUSBAND

“The time Chris gave me a snake bite
and it hurt so bad.”
