The Spiritual Stuff to Do When…
The Spiritual Stuff to Do When… #2 You get off balance
Living in balance means you
are aware of your choices,
mindful of the impact of your
choices.
Balance is a tricky thing right? We
humans are like a car, we too, can
get out of alignment.. Ask yourself
a few questions. Do you feel tired,
or even exhausted? When you wake
in the morning, do you just want
to keep sleeping? Overwhelmed or
lackluster?Are you having a gnawing
feeling of stress or anxiety, a recurring
illness or injury?
If you answered yes, here are usually
little signs that come along to alert~,
your mind, body and spirit acting in
conspiracy to tell you to slow down
and assess the situation and make
some sort of adjustment so that you
can re-balance your life. So then, this
is the Spiritual stuff to when…you get
off balance:
1. Slow down 2. Assess ( Internal
vs External ) 3. Simplify
Slowing down means: clear
some time for yourself to think clearly,
or to not think at all. Meditating,
going for a walk on a nature trail,
doing some form gentle activity like
yoga or taking a swim would all be
great ways of slowing down. Honestly
though, meditating is the best
way to cool your engines so you can
begin to figure out if the imbalance is
an internal imbalance or an external
one.
Once you have thought about your
imbalances, it is time to assess. If
you are being self reflective to the
point you are not living life, then
it is an internal alignment issue. If
you are running 500 miles an hour
4 | B ODHI TREE
because you are a single mother of
10 and you are bereft of any tangible
sense of support, that would qualify
as an external imbalance.
Internal imbalances would look like;
Matters of the Heart, Mind or Soul.
External imbalances would look like:
Matters of the Body, Work, and Relationships
In all fairness, many imbalances may
run concurrent to both internal and
external causes. You may have a
matter of the heart which has started
to evolve into a workplace imbalance
because you can’t stay focused so
now, you are worried about losing
your job too. I realize things aren’t
simple.. Sometimes actually being
willing or able to see that things are
out of whack will give you the impetus
to get things back on track.
To get back on track, simplify.
If there are tasks to be delegated,
delegate. If there are more tasks
than you can handle, simplify your
expectations on what is reasonable
to expect yourself to do. If there
are relationships that need to be
reevaluated, then reevaluate. If you
need to ask for help, then simply ask
for help. You may need to prioritize
some things. You may need to simplify
your life by organizing some things
like your life, your office, your schedule,
or your mind. I would suggest
that if things are not flowing in your
life, then there may be an imbalance,
and if you address it (the earlier the
better), then things may begin to
open up and flow better for you.
Living in balance means you are
aware of your choices, mindful of
the impact of your choices. It means
that you value your time, your body
and your gifts, be the gifts creative,
practical or Spiritual. Living in
balance means you will be able to
bounce back from negative events
with grace, kindness, compassion,
and patience. Does it mean you will
always do the exact perfect thing at
the exact perfect time?
Probably not, but you will have the
ability to know when your actions
and reactions are out of alignment to
the person you are creating yourself
to be, the person you envision yourself
to be as well. Living in balance
will build a stronger platform for you
to achieve your life’s purpose more
readily.
WHAT’S UP IN 2016?
JUDI VITALI
www.readthestars.com
Judi Vitale is a transpersonal life coach, who uses
hypnosis and astrology to align your passion and
purpose with your actions.
In astrology, we observe the
planets and the way they
move through the sky -
and then we speculate
on how they might
affect life here on earth.
Astrology is a type of
“weather” forecast. It
allows us to see what might
happen, and therefore helps
us to plan our activities in
harmony with the cosmos.
From the viewpoint of astrology,
the year 2016 will be a lot calmer
than years past. From 2008 until
2015, many of the “outer” planets,
those out beyond Jupiter, have
made major moves these last
several years. Pluto has been
responsible for restructuring our
banking system and revamping the
way we view our government. As it
made an aggravating pattern with
Uranus, Pluto encouraged many of
us on this planet to “change”, and
sometimes that impulse to throw
out the old was so strong, we didn’t
stop to think about what “new”
things we wanted to bring in.
It seems as though this next
year will be a time when we
settle down a bit, perhaps out
of necessity, or possibly out of
exhaustion. While there will be
some interactions between the
outer planets, the combinations of
energy will seem far more
harmonious. This could be the year
when we begin to figure out what
we really want - or it could simply
give us a rest!
Even with this, though, we have
other things to consider. Probably
the most noticeable influence
we experience during the course
of each year is the Mercury
Retrograde Period. A “retrograde
period” occurs when, due to the
relative motion of our planet
and that of another (in this case,
Mercury) causes the appearance of
the other planet moving backward.
This effect is much like what
happens when two trains pull out
of a station at different speeds.
Mercury is the planet of
communication, so when we are in
the retrograde period, it becomes
difficult to do things that involve
connecting one thing to another.
This shows up in our lives
as car problems, computer,
Internet and phone issues,
difficulties with memory,
verbal misunderstandings,
traffic jams and verbal
errors of all sorts. There
isn’t much we can do to
avoid these effects, but we
can prepare well for the period
by planning around it, doing
maintenance on our mechanical
and electronic devices, and adding
an extra measure of patience to our
collective temperaments.
Here are the dates when Mercury
will be retrograde in 2016:
January 5-25, April 28-May 22,
August 30-September 22, and
from December 19 into January
2017. The planet Mars will also go
retrograde this year. This planet
gives us our assertive energy.
Those of us with Sagittarius and
Scorpio as sun signs are bound to
feel a little bit extra aggravated
between April 17 and June 29 -
yet another reason to add that
extra patience into our behavioral
repertoire! Here’s hoping that
2016 works out to be as peaceful
as it looks right now - keep
watching the stars!!!
Don’t wait another minute to do all
the things that make your heart sing!
Healing
Verses
Curing
Kimberly R. June, LCSW, LMT
www.centerforholistictherapy.com
Treating a symptom and having it
disappear is considered a cure, and
it is the cornerstone of allopathic
medicine. We have found numerous
cures for many horrible diseases
in the last 100 years. A drug, for
example, can make part of the brain
work more efficiently or kill off cells
that divide and grow too quickly.
A
knife can remove a part of the body that is
sickened and diseased. Cures work on the
physical level, on the physiology, molecule
to molecule.
While cures are beneficial on one level, the
problem is that they introduce physical change into
complex systems with a cascade of related moving
parts. To alter one part of the whole often changes
other functions down stream. Removing a
sick organ, for example, can create space in
the body that
destabilizes the location of others, or changing levels
of serotonin to decrease depression can cause
erratic sleep patterns and sexual dysfunction. Cures
may also often introduce substances that create sideeffects
or dysfunction in other systems of the body.
We then have to deal with the side-effects, with more
allopathic medication or treatments.
This is often how people end up in a never-ending
cycle of escalating medical problems and prescription
pharmaceutical interventions to manage those
symptoms.
Healing, on the other hand, offers the opportunity
to get at the root cause of a problem. A healing
process looks for the layers of the iceberg that lie in
the murky waters underneath the surface. To engage
in a true healing process takes both effort and time
and money…and often many different approaches are
needed to uncover the root cause of dis-ease. The
healing process involves the following 6 elements
and may involve the assistance of a holistic healing
team of different practitioners.
The Mind (Thoughts, Beliefs and Feelings); The
Physiology/Chemistry of the Body; Spirit and
Spirituality; Lifestyle and Stress Management; Proper
Nutrition; and Proper Exercise.
When all of these elements are incorporated into a
holistic approach to health and wellness, true
healing, and not just symptom management, can
occur.
CREATIVe
THOUGHTs
Each one of your thoughts possesses power to influence
the world around you. If you have positive thoughts, then
you uplift your energy and inspire your surroundings with
positive outcomes.
All man-made things
you see and touch;
every musical
beat and tune
you hear
began with a solitary
thought. From the
invention of the wheel
to current spectacular
technologies, someone,
somewhere, someplace,
had a singular creative
thought and was bold
enough to take action.
Each one of your thoughts
possesses power to influence
the world around you. If you have
positive thoughts, then you uplift your
energy and inspire your surroundings with positive
outcomes. If you constantly have negative thoughts,
then your energy becomes depleted and the energy
of those around you becomes depleted too. It is up to
you to control your thoughts by using your God-given
gift known as free will.
Learn from your mistakes, not repeat them. We all
make mistakes and have ‘bad’ days. It’s what we take
away from them that matters. Begin today by being
aware of the patterns of your thinking process. Are
your thoughts judgmental? Are your thoughts really
yours or have you adopted the thoughts, beliefs, and
perceptions of your parents or friends? Are you always
thinking the worse is going to happen?
By taking control of your
thoughts, you are able to use
your ‘free will’ to release the
past of self-sabotage and
liberate further suffering.
Creative thoughts create.
One of the supreme
gifts to give yourself is
permission to use your
imagination to envision
the life you desire.
As each of us follows
our own mystical yellowbrick-road
through this life,
we have options and choices.
By using your ‘free will’ to charge
your thoughts with positive vibrations,
you are able to make choices to create
successful outcomes. It is entirely up to you. There
is no one else to blame. You and you alone are
responsible for your thoughts and actions, whether
they are creative or destructive. When you take
ownership of your thoughts, you are better equipped
to recognize when supportive opportunities come
your way and act with unwavering courage that you
will succeed and thrive.
Release the negative actions of yesterday and
embrace the positive energy of today by being aware
of each inspirational thought at a time. Remember,
creative thoughts create. The choice is yours.
I Am Guided
through an
amazing
new year
By Reverend Patty Perhacs
Spiritual Director, Unity Center of Pittsburgh
www.unitycenter.com
It’s very important to know what you want and what no longer serves you.
But for my time and energy, I find the greatest resolution which I renew
each year is to focus on my spiritual practice and connection to Spirit.
Okay my friends! It’s that time of year again.
Are you making your list of resolutions and
checking it twice? What are you seeking to
do differently this year, what will you change
and create?
It’s very important to know what you want and what
no longer serves you. But for my time and energy, I
find the greatest resolution which I renew each year
is to focus on my spiritual practice and connection to
Spirit. For me that entails regular prayer, meditation,
spiritual study and service.
I have learned first-hand that my one true focus must
be my oneness with higher mind. “Seeking the kingdom
of God that is within” then “all things will be given
to me” meaning, my desires and needs will be met.
When I keep my attention on my God-self, which is
magnificently supported through a regular meditation
and prayer practice, I release old habits, mistaken
beliefs and poor self-programming. By turning to the
light of inner understanding and my Divine IAM self,
I have found I create a more steady inner balance, a
higher state of consciousness and certainly greater selfawareness.
My years of on-going commitment to my
inner spirit has allowed me to step out of negative states
and to live in a state of gratitude.
I ask and open for guidance and enlightenment and
when attuned, I hear and feel Intuitive mind guiding
me, impressing upon me that which I need to know,
or is mine to do. Self-awareness and trust is key
in recognizing when spirit is communicating. This
“knowing “gives me the confidence to forge ahead in
action, to let go, or to sit in patience.
When I find a desire for something new or to release,
I affirm through prayer and compassion, and hold this
vision in my mind and heart. In time, it too comes to
pass, or another way is presented. Listen, trust, and
respond.
So this year, commit to what works for the best in all
areas of your life, devotion to Higher Mind. Resolve to
connect daily in mediation and through other spiritual
practices that quiet the mental mind and uplift us.
With your intention focused on the I Am Presence,
you will become more calm and positive rather than
feeling anxious or limited. A more balanced, loving
energy is then transmitted through your thoughts,
which creates what we all want: good health, love,
abundance and well-being.
Over time, you begin to see yourself and life more
clearly, and live with a greater sense of love and
gratitude. You’ll see that all is in divine order, and all
is well.
I wish you an amazing new year!
Namaste dear ones!
Energetic Value
of The Point
Rebekah Gamble
www.rebekahgambleholisticpractitioner.com
Did you know Pittsburgh is a generator for the energy
network of the globe, and that what you put out
here is sent directly into the emotional and akashic
energetic body of the globe?
You’ve heard all sorts of things about Pittsburgh- that
healers and metaphysicians come here on purpose,
or are drawn here for some mysterious reason. You
may have even heard several prophecies both from
traditional cultures and modern seers stating that this
city holds a special position in the shift that is currently
happening in society. Ever wonder why?
The reason has to do with our rivers and, most
specifically, the point. You might know we have three
rivers that come together, but are you familiar with
the fourth river underground? More importantly, ever
considered the implications of the point that brings
all four of them together?
The fourth river is not some crazy urban legend. It’s
more accurately referred to as the “Wisconsin Glacial
Flow,” as it was carved millenniums ago during the
ice age. This river exists in an in-between state, being
different from other aquifers but not quite being a
proper river. You might think of it as a tunnel full of
gravel with walls and a floor of rock and a roof made
of clay. The clay roof is what separates it from the
Allegheny and Ohio rivers. However, most aquifers
are irregular and do not follow a specified flow or
channel like ours does. The unusual characteristics of
our fourth river or aquifer makes it somewhat of an
in-between sort of energy living in space much like
many of our practitioners here in Pittsburgh who live
between worlds.
We could talk all day about the significance of the
Glacial Flow being between worlds. We could talk all
day about the significance of there being three rivers
coming together on the surface, or the significance
of the hidden fourth river. For brevity, I’ll encourage
you to investigate these on your own and turn your
attention to the fountain at the point, where some
real magic is taking place.
The Point Park Fountain is of particular interest for
our purposes, because it is built almost exactly over
the specific point where the energy of the rivers
comes together and shoots up into the network that
literally ripples over the earth. What is especially
interesting is that through the pumps housed in
buildings on the left and right of the fountain, water
is drawn from the three rivers AND the underground
aquifer. The flow here is so powerful that even nonesoterically
inclined city planners felt the need to
commemorate that energy with a giant fountain
shooting a visual of the energy moving upward into
the network in that exact place.
Living by such a powerful amplifier and generator
is serious business, and comes with a bit of
responsibility. What do you think- would you rather
pour the experience of being stressed out, angry,
frustrated and burned out into the world, or would
you rather pour love and serenity into that great
generator?
But let’s get serious. It’s Pittsburgh. Half of us are
closet workaholics, and half of us are stressed to the
limit- So what do we do? In the next issue, we will
discuss why mindfulness is a good place to start, how
we know for a fact that it works, and how you can
start implementing it immediately.
FINDING YOUR
INTUITIVE VOICE
By Suzanne Bishop, MS
www.intuitz.com
The title of this article implies that intuition is
somehow foreign to us and it must be found from
somewhere other than our own being. Intuition
is and always has been part of our physiological and
spiritual make up since before birth. It rests somewhere
between our soul and our higher self. We often miss
its presence due to our ego self being in the way. This
article hopes to outline intuition and ways we can all
access its profound simplicity and raw beauty.
1.) Intuition is a natural part of ourselves.
2.) The more we allow intuition to be a part of our lives,
the stronger it gets.
3.) It is a response from our soul via our higher self that
does not include cognitive reasoning, it is a direct
knowing. It can also be seen as a middle ground
between conscious and subconscious awareness.
4.) It is not instinct. Instinct is an innate prompting
toward a certain behavior.
5.) Intuition always brings with it a meaningful message.
How can we allow intuition into our lives? First,
acknowledging it opens doors by breaking down the
ego self that controls the conscious mind. Get to
know one’s inner life better by allowing one’s self to
be alone and in quiet. Being in nature, taking walks
in parks where the surroundings are still quiets the
mind of chatter, and this allows your higher self and
subconscious to come forward. Keep an intuition
journal that details any experience you have with
communicating with your intuition. Start to meditate,
even if it is only 5 minutes per day. Meditation fine
tunes your mind to shed daily chatter of the mind.
Being in a thoughtless state opens up the opportunity
to really hear beyond your ego driven mind.
Meditation will also bridge the gap between our
conscious mind and higher self, and you will find the
ability to catch glimpses of intuitive communication
while going about your daily life.
What does it feel like to receive intuitive messages?
Everyone is different in how this plays out. I know
from my experience with myself that I get an
immediate knowing that something is just right or so
very wrong for me. I have had experiences where I
was told not to attend classes that day and something
very harmful and very real happened that day that
would have put me in harm’s way. When something
is wrong it feels like a dark cloud is hovering over
me. Some people have gut reactions, they feel it in
their gut. Some people have visual clues to what their
intuition is telling them. Having an intuition journal
will certainly help one to become friends with their
personal experiences with intuition.
In summary, intuition is an innate part of ourselves
that wants to be heard. It may take some effort to get
to know one’s unique way of expressing intuition and
working with it daily to expand awareness, but it is
well worth it. Just like dreams are messages from our
higher self, intuition is always trying to share with us
a higher reality.
Suzanne is a local Pittsburgh resident who has been
a lifelong student of the metaphysical. She is owner
of Intuit Now, a business that provides psychic
mediumship and spiritual counseling. Find out more
The Unconventional
Healing Art of
SHAMANISM
By Regina Rivers
In 2003, through my friend, Gwelt, I met my first shamanic
teacher. Author and Celtic shamanic practitioner, Tom
Cowan, travels the world sharing his deep knowledge of
this 100,000-year-old wisdom tradition.
My first day with Tom, I learned how to spiritually
journey into what is called non-ordinary reality where
I met up with my 5-year old self and
actually healed a childhood trauma that
had plagued me throughout my entire
life. During that weekend, working with
my Power Animals, Spirit Guides and
ancestors, I realized my strong desire to
pursue this unconventional path.
Since then, I’ve worked with several
teachers including Lewis Mehl-Medrona,
Brooke Medicine Eagle, Jose Stevens,
Cecile Carson, Betsy Bergstrom and
presently, Peruvian shaman don Oscar
Miro-Quesada. In November 2012, I spent 15 days in
the Peruvian Amazon jungle learning sacred plant
medicine from a Shipibo medicine man and a shaman.
From each of these teachers, I have learned shamanic
practices that, while ancient, continue to assist those
who now come to me to heal.
Shamanic practices also include working with the
Faerie realm and Nature Spirits. Below is a true tale of
a personal encounter with these realms this past July.
In the earthy hollow of an ancient tree stump situated
on a mound in the heart of the woodland, Kathy,
Victoria, and I had just set out our offering. Crystals,
lavender, rosebuds, and other sundry items were
lovingly placed in honor of the Faerie Folk who inhabit
that sacred land. A wee jumping frog appeared in time
to affirm our presentation while we three held hands
and sang songs of gratitude for their divine work.
We had come to Lily Dale, New York, to honor the
Nature Spirits and these wonderful beings who,
behind the scenes and undaunted by mortals, have
continued to care for Mother Earth since time
immemorial. They’ve graciously done so
to make life habitable for all who live
here.
As we then continued along the trail, we
happened upon a tree, somewhat off the
beaten path, that we instantly recognized as
a sacred being. Captivated, we were drawn
to her. We instinctively wrapped our arms
around her and spoke loving words into her.
We breathed with her and she with us.
Afterwards, to record our extraordinary
experience, I photographed the area. Upon reviewing
the panoramic image, we were stunned by what we
saw!
There, in front of the tree, was a tall, wispy, lavender
image. Could it be that the spirit of the tree chose to
honor us in return for our offerings?
Most who see it get goose bumps and say they see a
tall, slender woman looking to the right. Do you see
her? We welcome your comments.
WHAT IS THE
ARE?
By Judith Lickert and Doug Knueven
Since this is one of the initial issues of the Bodhi
Tree, we would like to introduce ourselves. Some of
you, hopefully, will be familiar with Edgar Cayce’s
ARE (Association for Research and Enlightenment),
but others may not be. The ARE developed around
the 14,000 + trance readings given by the American
psychic, Edgar Cayce mainly during the 20’s, 30’s and
early 40’s.
Originally, the readings were given as health
consultations for individuals. In fact, many have
called Edgar Cayce the “father” of holistic medicine
in the United States. The Cayce readings addressed
each unique medical circumstance with distinctive
recommendations. Most of the advice involved the
use of herbs and other natural substances to bring the
body back into balance. However, there were times
when the readings recommended surgery or other
conventional approaches. Edgar Cayce was ahead of
his time with his integrative/holistic philosophy.
A major thrust of the Cayce readings was an
appreciation for the influence that the mind and spirit
have on the body. From the use of affirmations and
prayer to the study of past life influences, the readings
put forth a truly holistic way of life. As the Cayce
philosophy developed and progressed, there were few
topics that were not touched upon.
What calls to you? Atlantis, Lemuria, reincarnation,
the power of crystals, astrology, holistic health,
ancient Egypt, the importance of gut health,
advice on home, marriage, and child rearing, the
healing powers of color and sound, the importance
of setting an ideal and meditation, dream
interpretation, and even stock market advice (sorry,
no current financial information is available). This is
just a very short sampling.
The information was given to individuals to help
them in their present circumstances. Although this
would seem to limit what was given, thousands
have found that the information has been helpful.
Various analyses of the reading have yielded universal
principles. As an ARE member you can search the
readings on any subject. Furthermore, the many books
written on the research of the various topics are a
good way to access and apply the information.
So, what do we do here in Pittsburgh? We help those
who want to start a study group. Study groups were
recommended in the readings as a good way to work
on your spiritual life. A small group of people meet
periodically to meditate together and study and apply
spiritual principles. We have both belonged to study
groups (Judy for over 30 years and Doug for over 10
years) and found it invaluable for attunement to the
Divine within.
Besides study groups we bring two national speakers
here each year for full-day conferences (every spring
and fall). We also present smaller programs with
local speakers. And we don’t forget to have some
fun together at the summer picnic and Christmas
party. No need to be members to attend any of these,
so feel free to come when you see an announcement.
We invite you to take part in the spiritual community
the ARE provides.
Tree magazine
By: Marike Vuga
and the Bodhi
The magazine was born in 2015; a universal year 8, a year of strength and success and was released in a month
of September - numerological a 17, reducing to the number 8 -, a month of growth, building a structure that
connects the physical and the spiritual realms through a new way of spirituality with a new as well as renewed
sense of community.
The word Bodhi is associated with the number 11 which reduces to the number 2. It is about team work, building
something, in a balanced and loving way, through a new approach and change, and sharing knowledge through
this medium to attain a new level of compassion and introspection. The word Tree corresponds to the number is
21 and reduces to the number 3.
The Tree stands for the World tree and is about completion, coming full circle, the wisdom of the earth, and
ancient times. The word Bodhi Tree corresponds to the number 50 and reduces to the number 5. It means
change that is supported by divine and universal guidance and is also about teaching the wisdom gained so far.
Bodhi has the energy of the spiritual messenger and Tree has the energy of the earth and fulfilment. Together
they bring about divine change in interacting with each other and the world, in a new spiritual way.
In summery this magazine, the Bodhi Tree, is about team work to create a peaceful and joyful world. Enjoy this
new magazine.
PREPARING FOR
DISCLOSURE
By: SUSAN Rose
I feel confident in the existence of UFO’s due to the
number of credible witnesses who have seen crafts
or at times even their occupants. I haven’t though.
For me, the sky reveals endless artwork of clouds,
sunrises, sunsets and even lightening to entertain and
amaze. So if you have seen a UFO, heard about them,
or even if you have dreamed about ET’s, the question
still arises: How do we contemplate that we are not
the only intelligent life in the Universe, or that they
might even be here amongst us?
Want proof? Dr. Stephen Greer provides numerous
detailed documents by inside military informants
at his disclosure website. His movie, “Sirius”, a must
see feature-length documentary is now streaming
on Netflix. Yes Virginia, it looks like there are really
ET’s. They seem to have been here since the start of
civilization. I find comfort in the fact that we have
all muddled along in this life thing with without
too much negativity and even receiving help from
these ET races along the way. Despite eons of extraterrestrial
visitation, intelligent life goes on. We still
chop wood, carry water, make babies and learn how to
love. Unlike some of the ET beings that live hundreds
or thousands of years, we reboot our time here after
80- or 90 years and try it again. And again….
Yet despite the eons of contact with other life forms,
what’s now different is that we have smart phones.
Videos become viral. Worldwide instant communication
is here. Partial disclosure (as in this article) is upon
us. Complete disclosure, when our Government finally
speaks the Truth, will happen soon.
In the meantime find comfort that we ARE connected
to these ET beings…we find physical evidence of
races of man that are not well congruent with the
“evolution story line” we’ve been told. We have
challenged the time line of the sphinx and pyramids,
placing them thousands of years earlier. We are
finding ancient civilizations that have greater
technology than we currently use. The humbling
thought that our civilization is not the height of
man’s potential has been comingled with an urgency
for our evolution, greater equality and planetary
sustainability. It is time to end the cognitive
dissonance on the reality of UFO’s and ET’s. We have
to accept the fact that diversity in the universe is
natural and a holy part of creation.
What can we do? Raise your vibrations, and at times
join collectively with others to experience the vast
power of Oneness (as the ET’s encourage). Meditation
groups will help us shift to higher dimensions of
Consciousness. Thus, we can promote the Disclosure
event, as we move forward in Love and awe of what is
about to happen.
Improving our health in body, mind and spirit seems
to be a wise part of getting our affairs in order. With
us, “the Force is strong”. Let’s start by sending our
best intentions to our newly found neighbors. Perhaps
we could then be trusted and accepted in a larger
federation of intelligent and spiritual races. Until
that happens, let’s enjoy the small amount of predisclosure
time left in all its simplicity. Be “present”
to life on Earth. Together. As One.
If you are looking for local mediation groups with a focus on the
highest ET awareness…. Larry Coudriet, leads a CE-5 (Close Encounter
of the 5 th kind) contact group in Pittsburgh PA. Persons wishing first
go through a training session. Email Larry at LCoudriet@verizon.net
WHY ARE WE
SHOOTING EACH
OTHER?
By: Rick Di Clemente
Intuitive Astrologer
www.starself.com
Things are tense astrologically – it’s easy to see.
Of course we suspect the continuing astrological
tension of Uranus square to Pluto. But, that’s not the
issue here. All of the expressed anger and people
“losing it” is closely tied to the identity crisis going
on in America’s natal chart. This is symbolized by
the current position of Pluto being opposite where
America’s Sun was on our founding day. 12 degrees
of Capricorn vs 12 of Cancer. So, what does all of this
mean and what do we do?
There are no easy answers. We are shifting from stage
I to stage II of how Pluto works. In my estimation,
there are 4 distinct stages of Pluto transits. The
stages: The first is a stage of DENIAL where we just
can’t accept what is going on; such as climate change,
and want someone or something to blame to make it
all go away. It’s that simple. Stage two is very rough
too, but it represents ACCEPTANCE, realizing that we
have to honestly face what we have become and let
go of the past. And, the keyword here is COURAGE.
Stages 3 and 4 are far away for now, leaving
discussion of them for later. Individuals and
collectives go through these stages quite commonly.
We must keep digging up the corruption and hatred
and transcend them. It is the only way.
We cannot SHOOT the problem and make it go away.
We must not just shake our collective head as we
watch the “news.” We must take responsible action.
There is no 1-800-TAKEAPILL that’s going to fix these
issues.
One thing is not mentioned nearly enough. This is
true for all of astrology and I think for life in general.
All we have to do is set our intention straight. We get
pressure is not easy but it is the number one thing
we must do. Don’t fall for the panic. It’s our intention.
We can no longer be deceived by more “boots on the
ground.” There is no enemy “out there” that we can
overcome.
We are our own obstacle and solution. That’s good in
a way, we can now take this opportunity to redefine
a lot of things that have gotten way off track and set
things right as we rush quickly into the marvelous
Age of Aquarius. There is hope, i.e., each other.
The Bodhi Tree Collaborative is a coming
together of groups and light workers to support
the spiritual and metaphysical community
of Greater Pittsburgh. The magazine is
an outward manifestation of this intention.
Part of our goal is to make Pittsburgh a spiritual
destination while supporting local seekers,
as the branches of the tree umbrellas
those who sit under it. There is no charge
for “advertising”.
We all are in agreement that we all spread
the news of the magazine to our e-mail
groups, social media (and web sites if
possible), thereby aiding the circulation of
the magazine. Nor now, there is no formal
