A Christmas angel.<br />
Over the course of several years,<br />
Grandma sent a Christmas ornament<br />
with a date to commemorate each year.<br />
The last ornament she sent to me<br />
was this angel and unlike the others,<br />
this one was not dated.<br />
It hangs on our tree every year.<br />
If her passing has any meaning to us,<br />
maybe it should be to remember that<br />
she loved all of us unconditionally<br />
and it’s that – more than any name<br />
or the blood we share – that should<br />
inspire us to love one another.<br />
