EARLY CHILDHOOD Ages 5 and under Dr. P. Phillips Foundation Infant and Toddler Center Educating young children is both an art and a science. The JCC is an expert in both, creating a safe, caring, nurturing educational environment for children to grow and develop. At the Rosen JCC, children embark on hands-on learning experiences that allow them to reach their fullest potential and achieve academic success. Our program focuses on: • Literacy and numeracy • Critical thinking • Confidence • Focus and self-control • Confidence • Communication The Rosen JCC’s Early Childhood Learning Center is accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs. As an accredited center, we have been recognized as a program that exemplifies excellence in the care and education of young children. Our child care programs feature: • Early education for all ages, from 8 weeks to VPK • Part-time starting at 18 months • Low child-to-teacher ratios • Hours: 7am to 6pm NEW Toddler Class Starting January 4 For children who are 16 months old by December 31, 2015. Part-time and full-day programs are available. Our classes feature low toddler-to-staff ratios, weekly activity specialists, and age-appropriate learning experiences. ALL NEW PARENTING CENTER Accredited Classes in our brand new state-of-the-art Parenting Center are designed to meet the developmental and social needs of young children (newborns through age 5) and to provide meaningful and fun bonding experiences for parents and other caregivers. Prenatal Yoga Stay healthy, relaxed, and connected with baby throughout your pregnancy. Expectant mothers will be guided through a series of postures designed to aid in the alleviation of common discomforts experienced during pregnancy. These movements will also help to prepare both mommy and baby for the wonderful connection that is delivery. This is a gentle yoga class and no experience is needed to participate. As always throughout pregnancy, it is recommended to check with your healthcare provider first before beginning. Wed 6-7pm (10 wks) 1/13-3/16 $120 | $99 Members Family Yoga Family yoga incorporates partner poses between adult and child, breathing exercises and relaxation. The majority of activities will be focused toward 2- to 5-year olds and their caregivers, but younger siblings are welcome and will be included in the fun. No yoga experience is required. No charge for non-walkers younger than one year. Tue 9:30-10:15am (10 wks) 1/12-3/15 $160 | $150 Members Thu 5:45-6:30pm (10 wks) 1/14-3/17 $160 | $150 Members Strollercise This class features power walking, strength training exercises, stretching and cardio drills. Songs and activities are incorporated into each class. The class is designed for stroller-aged children. To participate in the Strollercise classes, moms must be at least 8 weeks postpartum and have received verbal clearance from their physician to resume physical exercise. Children learn the skills and rules of various sports while staying engaged with physical activity. Come create your own original superhero, with your own creative special powers and actions while learning the basic principles of drama. Final performance on 3/15 at 2:45pm. Our wonderful Karen Goldman will teach children about healthy eating as they prepare delicious foods, work with kitchen tools, and learn how to follow a recipe. Ages 3-5 Wed 3:10-4:10pm (10wks) 1/13-3/16 $170 | $140 Members HappyFeet Soccer HappyFeet is specially designed for young children. We use songs, stories, rhymes and games to maximize imagination and develop gross motor skills in a fun, positive environment. We will learn a dancer’s warm-up, posture, positioning, across the floor, and a choreographed routine. Leather ballet shoes are required. A recital will be held on 3/17 at 2:45pm.
