About Camp J 

At Camp J, we encourage growth, inspire 

confidence, and create the framework 

for lasting memories and friendships. 

We provide quality programs that are 

age-appropriate, fun, and safe. Our camp 

is imbued with a sense of joy (simcha), 

community (kehila), spirit (ruach), and fun 

(kef). Throughout all our programs, we 

encourage discovery and self-expression. 

We carefully craft our camp programs to 

nurture your child’s interests, offering 

traditional and specialty programs, with 

age-appropriate activities focused on 

both fun and learning. There’s never a dull 

moment at Camp J! 

Your child’s care and well-being are 

our priorities. It takes a great staff to 

make a great camp. We carefully screen 

and interview candidates to ensure 

that we hire staff who are committed, 

hardworking, enthusiastic role models 

for kids. All camp staff participate in our 

comprehensive multi-day staff training. 

Many of our camp staff return to us year 

after year, and our low staff-to-camper 

ratio (no more than 10 campers for each 

counselor) ensures a safe and successful 

summer.

Early Childhood Camps

Based on availability, we offer 

extended care for $10 per hour. 

Summer Program hours are designed to align with our Camp J Youth Program for older 

children, but children may be picked up at any time during the day. Parents have the 

option of our “nap room” or “no nap room” for their children, based on your preference.

“Jump Into Literacy” Program R Ages 2-4 

Register for our summer program, which 

includes fun activities while making 

storybooks come alive. Our program 

encourages a love for reading and extends 

stories to a new level that includes building 

vocabulary, creativity and language at 

an age when children’s imaginations are 

optimal and language is developing at a 

rapid pace. 

Children engage in a variety of experiences 

including water play, art, sensory, music 

and movement, cooking, science and 

outdoor play and games, as well as fun 

book character dress-up days and special 

events. 

Teachers and children make their favorite 

storybooks come alive each week. 

Water play is included in the summer 

program. 

Join us this summer and jump into literacy 

with our camp full of fun activities, 

bursting with imagination and creativity!

programs, knowing your children are always receiving the best of care. 

No matter what you choose at Camp J, pick-up, drop-off, hours, and our 

administrative staff will always be the same.

Traditional Camps 

Juniors R Grades K-3 

$220 per week ($190 JCC members) 

Seniors R Grades 4-8 


Traditional Camp is jam-packed with fun for 

campers of all ages! Campers are grouped 

based on grade and rotate between 

traditional camp activities with their peers 

and counselors. Activities typically include 

arts and crafts, recreation, music, science, 

cooking, nature, drama and WaterZone. 

Special events and field trips round out 

the summer to provide a comprehensive 

camp program where campers gain new 

experiences and build lasting friendships. 

Sports R Grades K-3 


Sports Camp is our special sports 

elective program for younger campers 

seeking an active, athletic experience at 

camp. Coaches provide instruction and 

challenge campers through drills and 

scrimmages in a variety of sports such 

as basketball, hockey, baseball, kickball, 

soccer, volleyball, and more. Campers 

are grouped based on grade and skill 

level to ensure fair play and appropriate 

instruction. 

Campers choose a specialty activity on 

Monday morning, and spend half of each 

day that week immersed in that program 

area. This gives our older campers a chance 

to choose the program they like, and have 

more time to explore that area of interest. 

There are always multiple elective track 

options, and they may vary from week to 

week. A sports elective will be offered 

every week. Other elective options 

may include: cooking, improv, drama, 

photography, music, art, fitness. 

Senior campers also go on two field trips 

per week, specially geared toward older 

campers. Check out our week-by-week 

breakdown on Page 13 to see all the 

exciting stuff we have planned for this 

summer! 

Campers in grades 6-8 also participate in 

our Leadership Development Program. This 

special program provides opportunities for 

experiential learning, community service, 

and building leadership skills. 

Fourth of July Week 

All Camp J programs are closed 

Wednesday, July 4, but we’re adding 

extra fun with a camper late-stay. Junior 

campers will go to Legoland on Thursday 

followed by a cook-out at the JCC. Senior 

campers will spend a full day at Busch 

Gardens on Tuesday and return 

in the evening.

Sports Specialty Camps 

TNBA Jr. Magic Basketball Camp 

Weeks 1 (6/4-6/8) and 10 (8/6-8/10) 


Come learn from the best coaches around 

and work on your game to prepare for the 

fall basketball season. All players receive a 

Magic game ticket, t-shirt and ball. 

Grades 1-12. Ends at 1pm on Friday. 

Soccer Camp 

Week 10 (8/6-8/10) 


Improve your ball handling, passing, 

shooting and more from a former Orlando 

City Soccer player and current professional 

coach. Grades 1-8. 

Pop Squad Camp 

Weeks 1 (6/4-6/8) and 10 (8/6-8/10) 


Learn dance, cheers, practice jumps, 

pom-poms and tumbling, and work on 

formations. Each day is filled with spirit, 

and builds toward our big performance on 

Friday. Grades 1-8 

KidFit Fitness Camp 

Week 1 (6/4-6/8) 


Kids will be introduced to physical fitness, 

test their limits and create healthy habits. 

We’ll also learn to use all of the equipment 

in the Rosen JCC fitness center! Grades 2-8 

Art & Science Specialty Camps 

SuperAwesomeCool Art Studio 

Weeks 1 (6/4-6/8) and 10 (8/6-8/10) 


Each day features different take-home 

projects that will include the pottery 

wheel, clay sculpture, canvas painting, 

crafts, and more! Grades K-8 

iBrickAcademy Lego® Camp 

Weeks 1 (6/4-6/8) through 4 (6/25-6/29) 


Work with the new LEGO® EV3 Robot to 

learn programming, building, and the art 

and science behind robotics engineering. 

Sign up for one or all four! Different 

projects are available each week. 

Grades K-8 

Cooking Camp 

Week 10 (8/6-8/10) 


Young aspiring chefs will learn essential 

kitchen skills and experience the 

fundamentals of cooking through handson 

activities with Chef David Stample. 

Chef David has appeared on the Food 

Network, working with Rachael Ray, Guy 

Fieri and Bobby Flay in various capacities. 

His specialty is a fusion of Southern soulfood 

with a spicy Caribbean flavor.

CIT Counselor-In-Training 

Grades 9-10 

Session I (June 11-July 6) 

Session II (July 9-August 3) 

$550 per session ($450 JCC members) 

Gain valuable experience working with 

children. The CIT program will provide 

useful tools and information on how to 

be an effective counselor through handson 

experience. CITs learn how to plan an 

activity, interact effectively with both 

campers and counselors and handle tough 

situations. CITs must commit to a minimum 

of four consecutive weeks. A personal 

interview is required. Space is limited. CITs 

receive a stipend ($200 per session) upon 

successfully completing the program. To 

apply, please complete the CIT application 

online at rosenjcc.org/CIT. 

School’s Out Days 

Pack even more fun into your summer! Our 

School’s Out Day mini-camp program on 

Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 bridge 

the end of school and the start of camp. 

Daily registration is $40 ($35 members), 

with extended care options available. 

Saturday Night Out 

Each month, the JCC also offers its 

Saturday Night Out program for children. 

Drop your kids off for a fun night of pizza, 

games and activities with their friends 

and favorite counselors, while you enjoy a 

night out! The program runs 6-11p.m., and 

costs $35 per child ($30 members).

Meals & Extended Care 

Lunches & Snacks 

All camps include an afternoon snack 

around 2 p.m. For lunch, campers may 

bring or purchase a lunch; snacks and 

ice cream are also available for purchase 

at lunchtime. Lunches may not include 

peanuts or tree nuts, and in accordance 

with our kosher-style policy, may not 

contain pork or shellfish or mix meat and 

dairy ingredients. 

Lunches, snacks and ice cream can be prepaid 

on a weekly basis or purchased daily 

with cash. There is no ice cream or snack 

available for purchase on campers’ field 

trip days.

Extended Care 

Need care beyond the regular camp day 

of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.? Our extended care 

program for campers in all youth camps 

allows you to drop off as early as 7 a.m. 

and pick up as late as 6:30 p.m. Our 

counselors will be there to run fun games 

and activities! 

AM Care (7-9 a.m.) 

$35 each per week ($30 members) 

PM Care (4-6:30 p.m.) 

$40 each per week ($35 members) 

AM or PM Daily drop-in: $10 each per day

Registration Policies: All camp registrations must be paid in full by May 1. Registrations may be 

canceled up to 2 weeks prior to the start of a session; refunds, minus a $25 administrative fee, 

will be in the form of a credit on your JCC account. We are unable to refund lunch fees. Schedule 

changes may be made depending on availability, subject to a change fee of $25 per camper per 

week. To receive member rates, you must hold a Family Membership in good standing from the time 

of registration until the conclusion of the programs for which you have registered.
