Being surrounded by family and friends who have
always been interested in floral art and horticulture,
provided me with a wealth of knowledge and
support which gave me a kick start for my career.
My first class in floral art was at the age of sixteen,
when I was studying for my City and Guilds, I was
lucky enough to study with Margaret Whittaker,
whose talent and vision is legendary in the field of
floral art. I then undertook my demonstrating
exams, which would enable me to speak at flower
clubs across the ocean, but it was in 1995 when
my career began, where my partner and myself
decided to rent a very small shop in Clitheroe,
called ‘The Flower Shop’. Over the past sixteen
years our business has grown immensely,
however we have maintained the same value
of quality and style. Here in Clitheroe, we
have a wonderful team of floral designers
who are always on hand to advise, in the
many aspects of floral design that we have to
offer. We use our expertise to provide our
customers with unique, bespoke designs, whilst
embracing new industry trends and ideas along the
way. We stock a vast range of fresh flowers, plants
and gifts, so there is always something new and
exciting to look at. We offer a very professional
service and it is most definitely service with a smile.
