with distinctive, innovative design and truly striking features, the fourth generation All-New Sportage is 

set to be the most practical yet. The height of the model has increased by 5 mm. The overall length has 

increased significantly by 40 mm whilst the wheelbase has been extended by 30 mm. The increase in 

exterior size means an increase in head and leg room for both the front and rear occupants inside the 

cabin which adds to the comfort and space within the vehicle.

1. Bi-Xenon Headlights with Auto Levelling & Adaptive Lighting System. 

The Bi-Xenon headlights allow a single headlight to generate 

both high and low beam. The auto levelling and adaptive 

lighting device acts as an additional active safety feature by 

automatically adjusting the positioning of the headlight. This 

is designed to make driving at night or in low-light conditions 

safer by increasing visibility around curves and over hills. 

2. The Smart Parking Assist System (SPAS) doesn’t just help to 

guide you into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces – it 

also assists you in getting out of parallel parking spots with the 

handy manoeuvring-out function. To activate, simply press the 

parking button, drive slowly and wait for the system to detect 

an appropriate space utilising 12 sensors around the car. Then 

simply follow the instructions in the instrument cluster. These 

indicate when to change gear, while the system completes all 

the steering manoeuvres. 

3. Reversing Camera System 

The reversing camera is activated when reverse gear is 

selected. The full-colour screen is displayed on the satellite 

navigation screen and includes superimposed lines to help guide 

the driver into a parking space. 

4. Powered by a camera in the windscreen which detects the cars 

ahead, the High Beam Assist (HBA) automatically switches to 

high or low beam to match the right driving conditions. The 

headlights are always set to the right light, leaving the driver 

free to concentrate on the road ahead for even greater safety. 

5. The Speed Limit Information Function (SLIF) gives you all the 

necessary information to help you stay within the limits. Using 

the camera on the windscreen, it reads speed limit signs along 

the road and overtaking restrictions, and displays the posted 

speed beside the speedometer and on the navigation screen.

Search. The database contains 500 searchable categories, 

25,000 keywords and 250,000 places to

Better check the weather forecast. Just type 

in your destination to view a four-day summary,

1. Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is 

amongst the brand new safety features 

available on the All‐New Sportage. Many 

accidents are caused by late braking and/or 

braking with insufficient force. AEB systems 

improve safety in two ways - firstly, they 

help to avoid accidents by identifying critical 

situations early and warning the driver and 

secondly they reduce the severity of crashes 

which cannot be avoided by lowering the speed 

of collision and, in some cases, by preparing the 

vehicle and restraint systems for impact. 

2. Blind Spot Detection (BSD) alerts the driver if 

a vehicle is in their blind spot when changing 

lanes. Radar sensors in the rear bumper 

monitor the areas behind the Sportage which 

are difficult to see. A warning symbol in the 

rear mirror then appears. If this warning 

is ignored and the driver changes lanes, 

the symbol starts to flash and a warning 

sound emitted. 

3. Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) makes 

reversing out of parking spaces perfectly safe 

by warning you of traffic crossing behind you. 

4. Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) is designed 

to alert the driver that the vehicle is about 

to deviate from a traffic lane. The system 

helps the car stay on course within the centre 

of the lane by continuously applying a small 

amount of counter-steering force.

as impressive as you’d imagine. You can choose from a wide range of powerful petrol and diesel engines – including 

the new 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine which is available for the first time on the new ‘GT-Line’. This engine is a 4-cylinder, 

1591 cc engine with 174 bhp maximum output at 5,500 revs per minute which is available in a choice of either a 

6-speed manual or a brand new 7-speed auto DCT (dual clutch transmission). This new system offers dynamic driving 

performance along with further improved fuel efficiency and driving refinement with the aid of rapid-shift and 

optimised gear ratios. The DCT reaches 0-60 MPH in 8.8 seconds and boasts CO 2 

emissions of 175 g/km.
