BDR… 

… is the non-profit organisation representing the 

interests of all cyclists in Germany 

Umbrella association of 17 regional cycling 

associations 

About 2600 clubs nationwide, over 138.000 

members in 2015 and 20.000 licensed athletes 

Represents the interests of all German cyclists – 

from ordinary rider to pro (42 million people)

Mission headlines 







Always knowing the latest news/Covering cyclists’ needs, 

BDR is providing unique and standardized cycling formats for 

clubs to offer interested cyclists for participation. 

Regarding road cycling, these are starting with the community 

driven “Radwandern”. Focused on families is “Volksradfahren” 

and with sportive character is “Radtourenfahren”. The bench 

for long distance riders is “Radmarathon” with 21 chosen 

events forming the “Radmarathon Cup Deutschland” Series. 

Offroad cycling format is the popular “Country-Tourenfahren”, 

the special interest on health and physical education lies at 

“Richtig fit Tag Radfahren”. 

Young people 

BDR‘s core issue is talent scouting in clubs and promotion of 

talents. To find and bound talents to clubs special events have 

been developped like „Fette-Reifen-Rennen“ with RadClub 

Deutschland and „Bike Hero“. The latter is a safe riding 

technique camp for talented kids accompanied by their 

families and friends. 






Safe riding technique 

The BDR has a strong connection with „Radparcours“, a 

portable tool to bring safe riding technique to schools, 

enterprises and clubs/organisations. 

Presentation events Olympic Team „Premium Partner Team 

for Rio“ 

The BDR will present its Olympic team powered by Premium 

Partner several times ahead the Olympic Games in Rio. He will 

present the different disciplines in different events integrated in 

top events like national Championships Road or MTB. 

Fairs and booth 

Premium Partner and BDR will be present together at fairs, 

high level german cycling events. 

Hospitality 

BDR will provide Premium Partner with the maximum of 

available tickets for national races and Championships or final 

Olympic athletes‘ Gala.
