CLUBS @ APEX
Clubs are existing at AITM. Each of the clubs are conducting numbers of competitions and
workshops as per their programs.
Zephyr 2011
The annual cultural event of Apex, ZEPHYR-2011 was celebrated with full masti, magic and
masala on 31st Impulse 2011
Impulse 2011, the techno management fest of Apex Institute of Technology & Management
was conducted on 25
March, 2012. The event of one full day consisted of Quizzes, Dumb Charade,
Songs, Dances, (Classical/Modern) and a variety of plays and skits, topped by a Fashion
Show followed by an extravagant Fireworks display.
Workshop on Renewable Energy
Renewable Energy Club of APEX organised workshop on Renewable Energy on 12th March.
Where students who are enthusiastic got a platform to showcase their talent through different
models and to present Papers on importance of Renewable energy. The program was
inaugurated by Prof. V Jaya shankar from IIT Madras
Workshop on Robotics
th & 26th of November 2011. The event saw a participation of 1500
students from different engineering colleges of Odisha. The event was inaugurated by Dr.
Madhusudan Chakarvarty, Hon’ble Director, IIT Bhubaneswar.
APEX Robotics Club organised the “Workshop on Robotics”, through which students
experienced hands on design and modelling of robots. The robotic competition was the eye
catching event in the workshop.
Parasailing
About 75 students of Apex took to the skies on 1st May, 2011 to get a taste of what birds see
from up there. The parasailing event from the Apex Adventure Club was memorable – an
unbelievable flight by our Principal, Prof Ramesh Das.
Himalayan Trekking:
Students of Apex Institute of Technology & Management participated in the gruelling
Himalayan Trekking (Cycling) from June 3-17, 2010. The students also got a taste of real
adrenaline pumping adventure in the river crossing and rafting. The program was in
collaboration with the YMCA in the upper Himalalyan region of Kulu-Manali.
APEX Tech Cup :
The inter college cricket tournament “Apex Tech Cup” was organized by Apex Institute of Technology & Management during
December 2011. It was a 4 day tournament where eight different engineering colleges GITA, Trident Academy, CET, Silicon. NIST,
Nalanda,TITE participated. Apex was the champion and GITA was runners up.
