Point Loma, or take a whale-watching<br />

trip from one of the several boating<br />

companies like <strong>San</strong> <strong>Diego</strong> Whale<br />

Watch for a closer view of these<br />

majestic mammals.


Visit Balboa Park<br />

Both indoor and outdoor entertainment<br />

choices await visitors at the nation’s<br />

largest urban cultural park, Balboa Park,<br />

on the Newport Avenue, the event is<br />

Pet Parade during the second week of<br />

December. The parade is free to the<br />

public, but the participation fee is<br />

Anza- Borrego Desert State Park<br />

For a getaway from the city scene and<br />

Julian, California to the Anza-Borrego<br />

600,000-acre natural wonder (the<br />

largest in the state) is home to one of<br />

the world’s biggest populations of<br />

wildflower varieties. The park also hosts<br />

stargazing show at the amphitheater.
