Richard and Lucy decided to renew their kitchen last year. With a wish for a more
sociable living space and with a maturing family they decided to visit Schmidt Kitchens
in Dorking along the memorable and well-known ‘West Street’

When we initially thought
about renewing our
kitchen last year
we wanted to make sure that
it was suitable for a maturing
family and that it was also a
sociable area where we could all
relax and be together. We had
a budget which I am pleased
to say Schmidt respected.
Like most people, we visited other
showrooms in the area and did our
necessary research. After months
of searching we visited Schmidt in
Dorking. At a glance, their fourwindow
front showroom boasts
beautiful kitchens that we felt were
out of our price range. Thankfully
the advertising board outside their
shop read “Affordable – French
Elegance with German Quality”.
We decided to go in and the rest
is history. Lucy and I felt that
Schmidt Kitchens could offer us
a more bespoke design service at
a highly competitive price. Their
attention to detail was excellent
and the service they provided from
the consultation right through
to final installation was superb.
Having a kitchen that was more
functional and configured in a way
that the space was more practical
was at the top of our priority list.
Simple changes have made such
an impact in our new kitchen.
Not only was the space we had
available put to great use but the
drawers for each of our units have
made the world of difference.
We now have a practical and
functional home for everything
in the kitchen which is exactly
what we wanted. Our children can
sit in the kitchen with us whilst
we cook and the kitchen we had
always dreamt of has now turned
into a reality thanks to Schmidt.
The professional attitude shown
by the team in the showroom
was evident and it only enhanced
our trust with them even more.
We are very happy with the end
result Schmidt has supplied us
with and we would not hesitate
to recommend them to anyone
thinking about, or wanting a new
kitchen (in fact we already have!).
They kept within our budget
and made the whole experience
