Repeat song leaving out a letter each time
until all the letters are gone. Use a clap and
say “HO” to signal the missing letter.
This Little Elf
This little elf likes to hammer.
(make hammer motion with your hand)
This elf likes to saw.
(make sawing motion with your hand)
This little elf likes to draw.
(pretend to draw)
This little elf likes to splash on paint.
(pretend to paint)
And this little elf likes to put the cry in the
baby doll.
(pretend to rock a baby in your arms)
Waaa-waa-waa!
Ring Around the Menorah
(play like Ring Around the Rosie)
Ring around the Menorah
All full of candles.
Hannukah, Hanukkah
We all melt down.
Kwanzaa Candles
Seven little candles all in a line,
Waiting to be lit at Kwanzaa time.
Come lets count them- one, two, three,
Four, five, six, seven candles I see.
Here is the Chimney
Here is the chimney
(tuck your thumb inside a fist)
Here is the top
(place other hand on top of fist)
Open it up
(lift your palm covering the fist)
And out Santa will pop!
(lift thumb out of fist)
Five Little Latkes
Five little latkes sizzling in a pan
(wiggle five fingers over your other palm)
One jumped out and said, “Catch me if you
can!”
(hold up one finger)
It ran and ran all around the kitchen floor
(make a running motion)
And when I turned around
(turn head)
It was out the kitchen door!
(clap hands to signify the door shutting)
**Repeat with four latkes, then three, etc..until all
the latkes are gone.
The Reindeer Pokey
(tune of: The Hokey Pokey)
You put your antlers in
You put your antlers out,
You put your antlers in and you shake them
all about.
You do the reindeer pokey and you turn
yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about!
**Repeat verse using:
-red nose
-bushy tail
-hooves-whole reindeer self

Santa’s Reindeer
Santa’s little reindeer standing in a row.
When Santa comes they bow just so.
They bow to the left.
They bow to the right.
Then Santa’s little reindeer say,
“GOOD-NIGHT!”
And then the wind comes whistling by
(make wind sound and turn around)
They all come falling down.
(fall to the ground)
Call Rudolf
(tune: 5 Little Monkeys)
Eight little reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh.
One fell off and bumped his head.
The elves called Santa and Santa said,
“Can seven little reindeer pull my sled?”
**repeat verse with:
-seven little reindeer
-six little reindeer, etc.
One little reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh.
He fell down and bumped his head.
The elves called Santa and Santa said,
“Call Rudolph!”
