God's glory is often found when these ministries manifest the
presence of God through their talents to glorify the Lord and
2015 was a perfect example:
Dance Ministry
Vessels of Praise (VOP), Lola Olakanye, Group Lead
Women of Virtue (WOV) Linda Slaughter, Group Lead
Vessels of Praise ministered to the congregation this year during
the revival and International Sunday. God graciously allowed his
gifts to be used in the community at the nursing home during
the CPBC Day of Service activity, and at the 2015 Miss Africa
Pageant. The Women of Virtue Dance Team, under the leadership
of Linda Slaughter, ministered during the revival, Women's
Day, Senior Sunday, and at the Woodside Senior Center.
Usher's Ministry, Michael Grant, Head Usher
This year the theme for the Usher's Ministry was, "New Beginning."
Our main objective was to continually seek a closer relationship with
God and the people of God. We welcomed four new members into
the Usher's Ministry. In September, the church acknowledged and
celebrated the seven year anniversary of the Usher's Ministry. One of
the things we continue to do as a ministry is meet every fourth
Saturday to enjoy a time of fellowship, and have fun. We closed out
the year with our annual Usher's Anniversary fish fry. We continue to
pray asking God to guide and lead this ministry into His Holy
presence and serve with the passion and love of Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior.
