Ensure that vehicles meet<br />

Construction and Use regulatory<br />

requirements<br />

Set up an appropriate vehicle<br />

maintenance system and monitor its<br />

effectiveness<br />

Assess whether vehicles are best<br />

maintained in-house or by a third party<br />

Ensure vehicles operate within<br />

regulatory limits for vehicle weights<br />

and axle loadings<br />

Ensure drivers possess the<br />

appropriate licence for the vehicle they<br />

are driving<br />

Ensure the operation complies with the<br />

EU Working Time Directive, vehicle<br />

speed limits and parking and loading<br />

regulations<br />

Segment business activities by type of<br />

load, type or work and goods carried<br />
