Dear Parents
We are delighted to announce our 5th annual musical theatre camp for Perry Township
students this summer! This camp is designed for the students to have a hands-on, multifaceted
musical theatre experience. They will enjoy making new friends from many schools as
they build performance skills and learn self-confidence, teamwork, and musical and theatrical
skills. Campers will be exposed to many different aspects of musical theatre such as acting,
dancing, singing, and more.
The dates for the 2014 camp are June 2 – 27. Camp runs every day from 9 AM – 12 PM,
except for Friday, June 27 th . On that day it will start at 1 PM when we prepare for the
culmination of the students’ hard work for 4 weeks: the live performance of Suessical, Jr at 7
PM! The camp will be directed by Emily McDuffee (SHS), Melissa Walsh (PMHS), and Darcie
DeLong (PMHS class of 2011).
The camp will be held in the performing arts area of Perry Meridian High. It is open to all
students who have just completed 2nd grade through those who have just completed 8th
grade. The cost of the camp is $200 per initial participant and $150 for each additional sibling.
There is a $50 per child non-refundable deposit due with registration.
The main focus of the camp will to be learning musical theatre skills while rehearsing and
performing in a live production of Seussical, Jr. Also, during the camp, each student will have
an opportunity to learn acting improvisation skills, acting techniques, dance skills, vocal
technique, and many other skills important to musical theatre.
We have to limit the camp to only 50 students on a first-registered, first-served basis.
Registration is open now and will continue until full. The deposit is due at registration to hold
the spot with the full balance due by Wednesday, May 28. We will wait-list students when the
camp is full. Checks made out to “PMHS” and cash are the only accepted forms of payment.

alum who is majoring in theatre at Milligan College.
