Introducing Burnside Road
Burnside Road winds through the picturesque Russian
River Valley wine-growing region of Sonoma County,
California. Dotted with orchards, family farms and
secluded dwellings, it boasts some of northern
California’s most prized grapevines and many celebrated
winegrowers.
We established Burnside Road back in 2007 with the sole
focus of showcasing the very best wines produced in
California's North Coast AVA. Starting small, we have
since grown to supply carefully-crafted wines from
appellations throughout the North Coast, working hard
to ensure each bottle is a true representation of the
exceptional regions, varied soils and diverse climates
where the grapes are grown.
We invite you to try award-winning winemaker Joe Otos’
wines from this picturesque growing area which we are
proud to call home.

Our answer to “What should we drink tonight?”
Here in wine country we sell more of winemaker
Joe Otos’ creative blending of local red grapes and
vintages than in any other region. The locals must
know something….
Sourced from carefully chosen vineyards in
California’s renowned North Coast growing
region, Burnside Road Sunset Red was blended and
aged to perfection in premium French
oak barrels.
The wine boasts an elegant structure
with soft tannins and savory spice
notes. The lingering finish echoes the
wine’s ripe black fruit aromas with
notes of lively blueberry and dark
chocolate throughout.
Enjoy our Burnside Road Sunset Red with
hoisin ribs, roasted parsnips and good
friends.
The high elevation Red Hills, Lake County AVA
is fast gaining recognition for its distinctive Cabs.
Located on the south-west shore of Clear Lake, in
the northern Mayacamas Mountains, the grapes
typically enjoy a long hang time as hot summer
days are cooled by gentle Pacific breezes.
Our Burnside Road 2017 Red Hills, Lake County
Cabernet Sauvignon has pronounced aromas of
raspberry leading to cherry, cinnamon
and rich coffee flavors which fuse on
the full, satisfying palate.
The nuanced finish is long and complex
with hints of licorice and leather
showcasing soft tannins and a wellbalanced
acidity.
We recommend pairing this wine
alongside blue cheese-topped burgers
with caramelized onion, hearty
shepherd’s pie or herb mashed potatoes.
Intersected by the beautiful Russian River,
Sonoma County’s famed Alexander Valley AVA
enjoys a consistently warm growing season, cooled
by morning Pacific fogs. Combined with gravelly
soils, these conditions produce perfectly ripe
grapes and world-class Cabernet Sauvignons.
Our Burnside Road 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet
Sauvignon boasts pronounced aromas of berry and
plum framed by a hint of vanilla and
sandalwood.
The rich palate offers enticing flavors of
blackberry and dark chocolate alongside
typical Cab notes of tobacco and leather,
leading to a balanced acidity and wellintegrated,
nutty tannins on the
nuanced, layered finish.
Drinking great now, we recommend
pairing this wine with rib-eye steak, pan
-seared tuna or mushroom quiche.
Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley has been held
as one of California’s most prized Zin-growing
regions since the 1800s. Its well-drained soils and
warmer temperatures make it home to many oldgrowth
vineyards producing famously ripe grapes
which retain complexity and balance.
Our 2018 Burnside Road Dry Creek Valley
Zinfandel offers intense aromas of jammy
blackberry and plum. The mouthfeel
is rich and vibrant with an array of
pronounced dark fruit flavors laced
with cinnamon, subtle vanilla and
lively black pepper.
A delightful finish of cherry, cocoa
powder and nutty tannins lingers
alongside a perfectly-balanced, fresh
acidity.
We recommend pairing with hearty
dishes such as grilled eggplant, braised
short ribs or beef tenderloin.
