Essentially two well-defined systems can be found. The classic Central Battery System: Supplies the complete building via lighting circuits running into every part of the structure. All circuits are 1 . . . 20 terminated on one system only. This is an advantage in smaller objects but might not be the best solution as long cable runs and function 1 . . . 20 preservation of the circuits create higher costs. The adapted Central Battery System: UVA CPUSB Supplies the complete building via circuits run from main- and substations. Depending on the requirements of every floor or building segment, individually adapted substations are used. Load and specific luminaire requirements, i.e. luminaires in protection class III (SELV – safety extra low voltage) are taken care of and lead to new system concepts with 0V and/or 4V output circuits.
