THE VENUE
The World Championships will be held in Percy Perry
Stadium in Coquitlam, a suburb of Vancouver, B.C.
The stadium hosts seating for over 4,000 attendees and
offers multiple training pitches in addition to the main
pitch. 2016 represents a homecoming of sorts, as the
2008 U19 World Championships were hosted in this very
location The unique spirit and architectural ambience of
the setting left a lasting impression on the Federation of
International Lacrosse (FIL) who saw fit to return to the
championships to one of the true homes of sport. As in
previous World Championships, a large media presence
can always be counted on. Local radio and television
stations, as well as newspapers will extensively cover this
championship. A live web stream of the games will afford
potential viewers the world over to participate in this
quadrennial event.
We are delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate our
team at such an outstanding event, at such an outstanding
location.
