spostrzeżenia te są analizowane pod kątem najbardziej typowych czynników
kształtujących te tendencje. W ten sposób zdobywamy wiedzę dotyczącą preferencji
odbiorców oraz różnych stylów życia. Nasze aktualne trendy noszą nazwy
CASUAL BLACK, FREESTYLE CLARITY oraz CULTURAL SPIRIT
i były po raz pierwszy prezentowane podczas targów Interzum w Kolonii.
Dzięki globalizacji oraz wymianie kulturowej, w różnych miejscach na świecie, w tym
samym czasie, rodzą się podobne tendencje i możliwe jest stworzenie jednolitego
i spójnego ich opisu. Decor Selection 2016 wyłania to co wspólne,

DECOR SELECTION 2016
Our DECOR SELECTION 2016 offers dependable trend statements in reflection of
the responsibility we feel towards customers and partners.
We offer valuable orientation in this way, and at the same time present decor highlights
that have the potential to become the bestsellers of tomorrow.
Every year Schattdecor makes a forecast concerning major developments and trends in
interior design and thus in new decors. In our trend books we present definitive trends
representative of different preferences and lifestyles all over the world, and many of our
customers have come to regard our trend and colour forecasts as a useful guide.
A team of designers, architects and material specialists led by Claudia Küchen is
responsible for our trend analysis work, and is international in composition to ensure
that the most important development are perceived and acted on.
To this end the team visits trade shows all over the world to detect and research new
trends, materials and technologies. The observations are then analysed in team
workshops to determine the most decisive influences and identify current consumer
wishes and lifestyle changes. Our latest trend themes –
named CASUAL BLACK, FREESTYLE CLARITY and CULTURAL SPIRIT –
were unveiled to an international audience at the Interzum 2015 in Cologne.
In a time of globalisation and intercultural exchange, identical trends evolve
simultaneously at different places in the world, thus enabling trend statements of
almost universal validity. Standing for communality, internationality and concentration,
our DECOR SELECTION 2016 provides our customers and partners with
professional and dependable trend advice and thus orientation in a world of everincreasing
choices.

FREESTYLE CLARITY podkreśla rosnące znaczenie tego co
proste i prawdziwe. Podstawą jest redukcja do minimum - to
fundament lepszej jakości życia.
Otwarte i zredukowane pomieszczenia mają dawać poczucie spokoju
i bezpieczeństwa w świecie pełnym chaosu. FREESTYLE
CLARITY porządkuje i umożliwia indywidualną kreację oraz interpretację,
wolną od niepotrzebnego balastu.
W Niemczech, Rosji i w Polsce widoczna jest bardzo dobrze pełna
akceptacja FREESTYLE CLARITY. Wiąże się to z dużą popularnością
stylu skandynawskiego z jego jasną kolorystyką i z typowymi
strukturami drewnopodobnymi. Biel pojawia się często w kombinacji
z czernią dodatków, wzorów graficznych i form meblowych.
W Chinach kolor biały symbolizuje czystość i niewinność. W połączeniu
z naturalnymi kolorami drewna, z ciepłymi odcieniami miedzi
oraz ze strukturami haptycznymi odgrywa coraz większą rolę.
Nie bez znaczenia jest też fakt, że białe pomieszczenia sprawiają
wrażenie bardziej przestrzennych.
Wyrazisty kontrast czerni z bielą jest uniwersalny i nieprzeładowany.
Styl FREESTYLE CLARITY to również lekkość i modułowość.

FREESTYLE CLARITY reflects the increasing importance of
simplicity and authenticity. Concentration on essentials is now
what counts and is thus an important element of a better quality
of life.
In an otherwise hectic world, open-plan spaces and a reduced
style can have a calming effect. FREESTYLE CLARITY creates
order, enabling individual expression and interpretation free of
all superfluous ballast.
The FREESTYLE CLARITY theme is meeting with marked
acceptance in Germany, Russia and Poland. The style fits in with
current tastes, as seen in the popularity of the Scandinavian
furniture style with its pale colours and woodgrains. White in
combination with black is often encountered in graphic elements,
patterns and furniture.
In China the colour white symbolises purity, innocence and
cleanliness and is frequently used in combination with naturalcoloured
wood, warm copper hues and surfaces with distinctive
tactile qualities. A further advantage is that white makes small
rooms seem larger.

Black and white in clear contrast is timeless and contributes to
an uncluttered look. Lightness and variability determine the
FREESTYLE CLARITY theme.

Matowy lakier czyni czerń w przestrzeni mieszkania bardziej
przyjazną. Połysk pojawia się jedynie w strukturach kamiennych
- marmurach i polerowanych betonach. Bogate w rysunku, w
odcieniach brązu lub ciemnej szarości dekory drewnopodobne
tworzą doskonały azyl dla osób poszukujących ucieczki
i wytchnienia. Koncentracja na materiałach wysokiej jakości
sprawia, że wnętrza cechuje swobodna elegancja, bez niepotrzebnego

kolorystyka pojawia się jedynie w klasycznych meblach.
CASUAL BLACK to styl ponadczasowy i uniwersalny, który buduje
atmosferę dobrego samopoczucia oraz swobodnej przytulności.

CASUAL BLACK is a trend-conscious theme – urban, creative,
modern, self-assured and yet down-to-earth.
In living areas matte lacquer is lending black a more pleasant
feel, with high-gloss surfaces playing a reticent role in stone,
marble or polished concrete. Weathered oak, hickory or walnut
decors in rich browns or dark greys are creating the perfect
ambience for withdrawal. The focus on quality in the furnishings
creates a self-evident, laid-back look with no hint of glamour or
kitsch.
CASUAL BLACK is regarded as the most revolutionary and
momentous of our three current trend themes and is meeting
with broad acceptance, also on the U.S. market. Customers in
Brazil confirm that CASUAL BLACK is the strongest trend in
South America, where it is meeting with great interest.
CASUAL BLACK has not yet arrived as a trend in Russia and
Poland, where white – as epitomised by the FREESTYLE
CLARITY theme – and light-coloured furniture are still more in
favour. Dark colours are mainly to be found on classical furniture
at present.
CASUAL BLACK stands for a classic and tranquil style that
provides an effortless feeling of well-being and casual cosiness.

własnych korzeni. Trend CULTURAL SPIRIT to przede wszystkim
indywidualizacja i personalizacja wnętrza.

In these modern times of globalisation the typical boundaries
between cultures are disappearing.
In view of the increasing virtuality of everyday life, “real”
relationships, family and authenticity are shifting back into
focus. Pieces of furniture are deliberately chosen and individually
staged. Small details attract attention and emphasise the eclectic
flair, while honey-coloured woodgrains create an inviting environment.
CULTURAL SPIRIT corresponds to the fundamental
need for a warm and cosy home and is grounded and convivial in
character. The style is distinguished by the influence of various
cultures, as seen in its mix of materials and patterns and its use
of furnishing ideas from all world cultures.
CULTURAL SPIRIT is meeting with great interest particularly
in Italy, Poland and Turkey. It is making itself felt the most in
these countries, where furniture in the style and in warm tones is
already reaching the market.
Customer responses to the trend are also extremely positive in
Brazil, as the natural-looking woodgrains of the theme show
similarity to typical Brazilian timber.
In times of cultural exchange, recollection of one’s roots gains a
special importance, and it is in this respect that CULTURAL
SPIRIT conveys a feeling of individuality and personality.
