NAM
…the low down on achieving happy.

A happy team is a productive, engaged and inspired team!
We consciously reinforce positive practices in our region through:
• Leadership: ‘Wins and Wins in Waiting’/’Monday Inspire’ and general ‘road-block destroyer’
are just a few examples. The inspiration and daily reinforcement from our leader is
ENDLESS here!
• Culture: We find creative ways to find the ‘Awesome’ in our day
• Small Steps: We make a daily effort to contribute in the building of a culture and
environment we want to work in
• Lunches/Retreats + workshops: We like to team-build, highly value all our working
relationships and do not like to let our team down
The following pages are visual examples of what we do to reinforce happy in NAM…

How do we ‘do Happy’ in NAM?...we like to be creative:
We get our RD to
sing on camera, film
her then get the all
NAM offices to do
the same…
We celebrate our wins!
What started as a belated Xmas lunch to celebrate a
fantastic year…ended as a team walk of downtown LA in
January.
The plan was set…
We had a blast!
Got in some great
• exercise
• sights
and further discovered the city we live in the
process!

We get out and support a cause together:
In a quest to give back, Team
Canada took a break from their
jobs to do something wonderful,
which was volunteer at Dr.
Peter’s Aids Foundation Centre
in downtown Vancouver.
Here they all are serving lunch,
supporting this great cause, and
their community in the process.
A very successful and fulfilling
team day out of the office,
thanks for organising Sean!

We highly value our relationships with our team and work at
them:
We Retreat:
Guided by our
charismatic leader,
(coupled with her
infectious, determined,
positive, can ‘move
mountains attitude’),
this is where some of
our greatest growth,
learning and development
is achieved!

Watch this space NZTE as we continue to find new and
innovative ways to grow as a team, achieve our goals
and have a lot of fun in the process!
One final last word from Harvard Psychologist Shawn Achor, who has argued that the
common sense understanding: (that ‘Success will bring you happiness’), is actually
backwards.
‘…Success doesn’t make you happy, so much as happiness makes you more successful….’
…we agree☺
