Acts of Kindness Life of a Student Partnering with National Honor Society to promote Kindness For the first month of nominations, students will only be rated by teachers, yet if the process is successful, we will open up the nomination process to students. The National Honor Society and Life of a Student will then choose two students from the nominations to highlight and interview. The chosen students will also get their hands printed on the mural in the cafeteria to contribute to a Random Acts of Kindness Tree. This is an initiative that Life of a Student and National Honor Society are implimenting with the goal of improving the overall culture at Sanborn Regional High School. Please contact Mr.Gray, Ms.Lang, Ms.Fuller, Ms.Fall or Vicky Parady Guay from Life of a Student or Ms. Deangelis from National Honor Society for more information. Authors:. Spencer Bortone, Senior, and Liam Dolan, Junior. Spencer is active in Key Club , National Honor Society and a Baseball player at Sanborn. Liam is a member of the Ice Hockey Team and played on the Golf team this past fall. KEEGAN. 9TH GRADE , BUYS HOT COCOA FROM SCHOOL STORE FOR 20 RANDOM STUDENTS Random Acts of Kindness are meant Random Acts of Kindness to help someone out. The people who commit these acts look for no recognition or acknowledgment. The new year brings in a new way to highlight the good things students at Sanborn are doing. On December 23rd, a student named Keegan Bradham, bought ten hot chocolates for ten random people for nothing in return. This is a prime example of a Random Act of Kindness that National Honor Society and Life of a Student will recognize in the new year. Random Acts of Kindness can range from holding the door for someone, to a larger gesture like Keegan’s. Every month, nominations will be made in order to recognize students who show a willingness make a positive impact on the Sanborn school community and environment. Chess Club CLUB S A N B O R N R E G I O N A L SHOUT OUTS Poetry Club Advisor: Mr. Corkery Poetry club is a fairly small club(5 or so) that plans open mics in library and shares poetry and music The club helps and teaches with different kinds of poetry and music. Very casual so drop in when you can to see what poetry club is all about. Chess Club Advisor: Mr. Giuliucci Starting back up on Tuesdays After School in Rm 205 - anyone can join! Diversity Club Diversity Club Advisor: Ms. Petraitis & Ms. Belcher We are going to have a panel discussion on a play, written by a student, on LGBT issues Ultimate Frisbee Advisor: Mr. Jacobs Waiting for the spring season to start.
