The Life of a Student video was created to show all aspects of
Sanborn Pride. The introduction of the video starred 6, Life of a
Student members, including; Ryan Gersbach, Christian Ehlers, Pj
Ross, Paige Basiliere, Noah Mailloux, and Parker Jackson. Life of a
Student is a club that has members who are both athletic and
academic scholars.
The purpose of the video was to show Personalization, Risk
Taking, Integrity, Discovery, and Empowerment. Along with athletes,
member of the drama department, and a member of the band
department who were shown in the introduction there are also specific
clubs here at Sanborn that are featured. To represent Personalization
our club, Life of a Student, created a pledge along with the following
clubs represented to state their pledge following Sanborn Pride. The
Video was selected to be played at the Life of an Athlete Conference
and our club was awarded with personalized gear(see cover)
Sanborn Students in the Community
Over 20 students from Life of a Student, Student Council, and
Key Club went to Pirates Cove in Rye NH to clean up the beach.
Overall, they collected over 17 pounds of garbage from the beach.
The Blue Oceans Society was working with student councils
everywhere to clean up the New England Coasts.
The weather that day was cold and windy but the students
and their chaperones stuck through it so they could make a
difference. They collected plastic, Styrofoam, plastic bags, washed up
rope, and other trash found on the beach.
The students took time out of their day to clean up the
community. There were other community members in the beach that
were surprised and grateful for the kids commitment. It was a good
event to combine multiple different clubs to all work together to help
and give their time to community service. We hope to continue to
work together and help our community become a better place.
add
"We just want to
make as big of an
impact on our
community as we
can and cleaning
up the beach was
a way that we
could make a
positive change in
our world."
