The F-35 Lightning II shares its name with two of history’s most celebrated aircraft: 

WWII’s twin-prop P-38 and the English Electric Lightning jet fi ghter. The fi fth-generation 

F-35 took its fi rst fl ight in December of 2006, and several variants soon followed. The 

fi rst variant – the F-35A – is the lightest and smallest of all, with a 25 mm GAU-22/A 

cannon that’s intended for use against ground targets. Kit features easy, screw-together

The single-seat, twin-engine F-117 Nighthawk’s distinctive shape wasn’t just for show;

Also known as the Stealth Bomber, the B-2 Spirit can drop up to sixteen 2,400 lb. (1,100 kg) 

B83 nuclear bombs or up to eighty 500 lb. (230 kg) JDAM GPS-guided bombs. It is currently 

the only aircraft that is equipped to handle large air-to-surface standoff weapons while 

in stealth mode. Today, twenty B-2s remain in exclusive service with the U.S. Air Force,
