DAY 1: FLY DIRECT UK TO TOKYO<br />

DY 2: TOKYO<br />

Upon arrival at Narita airport you will be met in the arrival hall by your guide<br />

and transfer by private coach to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.<br />

About Your Accommodation: In an ideal location in the Tokyo metropolitan<br />

and situated directly in front of Osaka station.<br />

DAY 3: TOKYO<br />

Enjoy a day at leisure in the buzzing city of Tokyo. Breakfast included.<br />

BEGIN YOUR ESCORTED TOUR:<br />

DAY 4: YUDANAKA, JAPAN<br />

Leave the bustling metropolis behind and travel through spectacular rural<br />

countryside into the Japanese Alps. Arrive at Yudanaka home to the famous<br />

Jigokudani Monkeys. This afternoon take the Ryokan shuttle bus to the<br />

Jigokudani Monkey Park. Enjoy a traditional Japanese meal this evening.<br />

Breakfast & dinner included.<br />

Included Experience • Kaseiki At A Ryokan Restaurant - A Kaiseki meal<br />

is a traditional Japanese meal which allows customers to try a selection of<br />

traditional Japanese dishes, including vegetable, fish and meat. The meal will<br />

be served with rice and usually ends with a bowl of heart-warming miso soup.<br />

Dishes are made with local ingredients and will be brought out and placed in a<br />

beautiful presentation which will enhance the meal further. Spend the night in<br />

a Japanese Ryokan.<br />

DAY 5: YUDANAKA - MT FUJI - ATAMI<br />

This morning, transfer again to the Jigokudani Monkey Park to meet these<br />

adorable creatures. The monkeys completely disregard their human watchers<br />

so you can spend hours observing them play, and even swim, in the pools.<br />

Transfer to Mt Fuji by private coach and take a look around the Fuji Visitor<br />

Centre. Breakfast & dinner included.<br />

DAY 6: ATAMI - HAKONE & MT FUJI<br />

Take a half day tour of Hakone by private coach. Start with a ride on the Mt<br />

Komagatake Ropeway which gives fantastic views over the Fuji Five Lakes. Take<br />

a short cruise on Lake Ashi on a transfer to Odawara station to take your bullet<br />

train to Kyoto. On arrival in Kyoto, transfer to your hotel. Breakfast included.<br />

Included Experience • Lake Ashi cruise: Board one of the Hakone Sightseeing<br />

ships - which are full scale replica pirate ships! Sail around the lake Ashi on a<br />

half hour cruise to view more of the stunning scenery around Mt Fuji. As you<br />

sail you’ll be able to see the striking red gateway which leads to the Hakone<br />

shrine.<br />

Included Experience • Owakundani Valley: Cross the crater of Owakundani<br />

over the Hakone ropeway. You’ll be travelling by cable car over molten rock<br />

and volcanic rivers and have spectacular views of the surrounding area. Try<br />

one of the eggs that the locals cook in the hot water, which are turned black<br />

by the sulphur…<br />

runs on time to the second and keeps the thousands of commuters on time<br />

for work every day. It’s also an amazing way for tourists to zip from one part of<br />

Japan to another.<br />

DAY 7: KYOTO, JAPAN<br />

Nijo Castle, Temples & Palaces: A fascinating old city with modern day<br />

trimmings, Kyoto was the imperial capital for over a millenium and much<br />

celebrated for it. Thought of as Japan’s most beautiful city, with an elegant<br />

and unsurpassed dignity, Kyoto’s ultra rich cultural heritage consists of an<br />

exquisite collection of majestic palaces and beautiful temples, and shrines<br />

dedicated to ancient deities all set in peaceful pockets of the city. Tour Kyoto<br />

today by private coach. Visit Nijo Castle and the Kyoto Imperial Palaca. Later,<br />

visit the Kiyomizu Temple and this evening enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner.<br />

DAY 8: KYOTO - KOBE<br />

After check out this morning, take a private transfer to Kobe where you will<br />

embark Queen Elizabeth for a 10 night cruise.<br />

DAY 10: KAGOSHIMA, JAPAN<br />

Voted Japan’s friendliest city, also best known for Sakurajima, an active volcano.<br />

Why Not Add On: Take the ferry to Sakurajima island, home to the<br />

volcano. You will be accompanied by a guide who will take you to the visitor<br />

centre to learn about this fantastic volcano and local environment. Enjoy<br />

some free time to explore before returning by ferry back to Queen Elizabeth.<br />

DAY 11: BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA Korea’s second largest city.<br />

Busan is known for it’s temples, mountains and beaches. Arrive Busan, your<br />

gateway to a fascinating land whose culture is a unique amalgamation of<br />

old and new. With modern high-rise building which dwarf ancient Buddhist<br />

temples. The bustling city offers a stark contrast to the serene grounds of<br />

Yongdusan Park.<br />

What to See: Beomeo-sa Temple<br />

Dates back to 678 A.D, and is Busan’s best sight. Despite its city location, it<br />

is a world away from the urban jungle, with beautiful architecture set against<br />

the extraordinary backdrop of mountains.<br />

Top Tip: Head for Dongnae Halmae Pajeon and experience Dongnae<br />

grandma’s green scallion pancakes. Delicious!<br />
