Information technology has made<br />
significant contributions to our world,<br />
namely in the medical industry. With the<br />
increased use of electronic medical<br />
records (EMR), telehealth services, and<br />
mobile technologies like tablets and smart<br />
phones, physicians and patients are both<br />
seeing the benefits that these new medical<br />
technologies are bringing.<br />
Medical technology has evolved from<br />
introducing doctors to new equipment to<br />
use inside private practices and hospitals<br />
to connecting patients and doctors<br />
thousands of miles away through<br />
telecommunications. It is not uncommon in<br />
today’s world for patients to hold video<br />
conferences with physicians to save time<br />
and money normally spent on traveling to<br />
another geographic location or send health<br />
information instantaneously to any<br />
specialist or doctor in the world.<br />
<strong>GIHS</strong> Clinics wanna utilize these<br />
technologies to work with the leading<br />
medical university hospitals in close<br />
cooperation. This should ensure that the<br />
latest medical knowledge will be<br />
continuously transferred to ghana.<br />
MELODY is a modular robotised tele-echography system.<br />
It is currently AdEchoTech’s lead product. This solution was devised by drawing on<br />
the skills (in medical expertise, electronic and robotic expertise, business expertise,<br />
and so on) required to create an ergonomic tool to help both patients and the<br />
medical profession.<br />
There are various versions of MELODY adapted to each situation so as to optimise<br />
use and efficiency. AdEchoTech sells a complete robotised tele-echography<br />
solution, comprising:<br />
The MELODY Patient site system<br />
The MELODY Expert site system<br />
The videoconference system<br />
The ultrasound imaging station fully adapted to the echography (comprising<br />
remote adjustment).<br />
The MELODY solution can of course be sold separately of the videoconference<br />
system and the ultrasound imaging station depending upon the needs of the client<br />
and the equipment they already have.<br />
