On March 19th there was a run for Mic, who has been around this
area for a long time, working at some different places as a bartender
and a damn good one at that. She was diagnosed with cancer and
has been undergoing treatments including Chemo. As usual the
bikers community came together and over 80 of us signed up for
the ride in spite of the forecast calling for 90% chance of rain.
American Legion Post 117 held the sign up and had breakfast
available for those that were hungry. And yes the rain came that
afternoon, it literally poured. The good news was that I was already
at Lou's Filling Station where it was nice and dry.
There were a lot of baskets for raffle and donations to help with
some of the expenses that Mic has with this battle, The lady of the
hour was able to make an appearance for a while that afternoon and was surprised and slightly overwhelmed to see the support
and love that was there for her. Special thanks to all of you that made the ride or the benefit, to all the stops that
stepped up, to all the businesses that donated items, to Lou's for hosting the event and also to Fawn and Lisa for all the hard
work they put into pulling it all together.
April 16th, 2016 is the date for the 5th annual BIN RUN. There are flyers all over Facebook and on walls and windows
all over town. Sign up will be at the Shriner's Auditorium on Eau Gallie Blvd. As usual the ride will be escorted by the
Brevard County Sheriffs Dept.. If you have never been on one of these rides you should go and see what it feels like to
ride down I 95 at 60 mph with no other traffic on the road but all of us bikers and the deputies. These guys do a great
job every year and we are so thankful for their support year after year. The ride will end at American Legion Post 117 in
Palm Bay. And of course there will be food, drink, vendors, music, raffles, auctions and 50/50. Hit N Run will be the band
on stage and the famous DOC Holiday will be there helping out with the tunes.
There are still vendor spaces available and it is not too late to become a sponsor and get your company's name or logo
on the back of all the shirts for the event.
As always the cost to ride is $5 per person and donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, paper products, pet
food.....
I would love to see everyone of you out for the event this year. Can't ride that's cool just join us at the post after the
run.
Registration starts at 8am, Chaci will be there with his food truck like he was last year.
If you need more info or want to find out about being a vendor or sponsor feel free to send me a message in F/B or call
me 321-373-3200..........BE SAFE
