Awards, Certificates and Diplomas<br />
SVQs<br />
Similarly a Scottish Vocational Qualification<br />
(SVQ) is also a work based qualification and<br />
will also take around 9 to 15 months to<br />
complete.<br />
SVQ programmes are integrated into the<br />
individual’s normal work activities and are<br />
delivered on-site to minimise inconvenience<br />
whilst maximising benefit.<br />

levels and across all age groups through<br />
a variety of funding options.<br />
A vocational Qualification is a work based<br />
practical qualification, which develops <strong>new</strong><br />
skills and measures the competence of<br />
your employees against nationally defined<br />
standards. Depending on the qualification<br />
and occupational area chosen, to achieve a<br />
qualification will typically take between<br />
9-15 months to complete.<br />
