Zip Line Adventure
A Zip Line Adventure in the Garden Route involves being
strapped into a harness, clipped into a pulley and letting
yourself go off the platform. From here on you are propelled
only by gravity as you glide along tree tops and waterfalls and
soar above gorges.
You can view three waterfalls from a bird’s eye view while ziplining
back and forth across the Kruis River. This is done in a full
body harness fitted with a patented braking system to ensure
a soft landing at the end of every slide. There are eight slides –
the average length is 100 metres and the longest is 211 metres.
It takes a group of 10 about 90 minutes to complete the tour
and 2 people about 45 minutes.
Kids from the age of 3 can participate in zip-lining so it is the
ideal family adventure that you can enjoy with the kids. Zipline
Tours are open every day beween 8am and 4pm.

GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH SOUTH
AFRICAN FUR SEALS
Swim with the Seals – Plettenberg Bay
Enjoy a boat ride aboard the Robberg Express to the seal colony
of around 4000 Fur Seals located at Robberg Peninsula in the
Robberg Marine Reserve. From there you can jump into the
water (with a qualified divemaster of course) and swim among
the playful South African Fur Seals and enjoy 30 minutes of
unlimited fun. Don’t worry about sharks as the area around
the colony is very shallow, the boat always stays close and they
make use of shark shields, a device that gives off electronic
impulses in the water and which sharks are extremely sensitive
to. All equipment is supplied and no experience is needed.
Another great family adventure as kids from the age of 6 are
allowed to swim with the seals. The tour takes approximately
1 hour and 30 minutes and tours go out daily and booking is
essential.

WILDCAT!
Go on a Cheetah walk – Tenikwa Wildlife
Awareness Centre Plettenberg Bay
The Cheetah Walk & Wild Cat Combo is a popular program
which combines a cheetah walk and guided tour of the Tenikwa
Wildlife Awareness Centre to see the indigenous cats of South
Africa and other endangered wildlife at the centre.
Join the cheetahs for a cheetah walk either in the morning or
afternoon through Cape Floral Fynbos and wooded Tsitsikamma
Indigenous Forest. The walk forms part of their daily enrichment
program. Only a few guests each day are privileged to join the
cheetahs for this special time.
During the second part of the program, visit each of the
indigenous cats of South Africa where you will learn interesting
facts about each species and what is contributing to their
decline in the wild. You will also gain an insight into their
Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
The program includes a beverage and light refreshments.
The time of the Cheetah Walks coincides with the naturally
active time of the cheetahs and is typical of natural behaviour
in the wild. No person under the age of 16 or under 1.5 metres
will be allowed to join the walk.
